Industry insider Dusk Golem has shared some leaked screenshots and artworks from what appears to be a new Silent Hill game. Dusk Golem have been behind numerous Resident Evil leaks and they have been accurate for the most part. Nevertheless, and since this is a leak, we suggest taking it with a grain of salt.

Friday news, part two:

Dying Light 2's first major story DLC is delayed
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/dying-light-2s-first-major-story-dlc-is-delayed/
Starfield isn't the only big videogame delay to happen today. Techland has announced that the first major story DLC for Dying Light 2, which was expected to roll out in June, won't actually be out until sometime in September.

Use nukes and airstrikes to protect your keyboard in Keymasher Ultimate
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/use-nukes-and-airstrikes-to-protect-your-keyboard-in-keymasher-ultimate/
"Who has time for Lore?" asks Keymasher Ultimate. "There's no lore!! Only action!!"
I narrow my eyes and nod gravely. The game is correct. I don't have time for lore. Not with all these creeps on my keyboard.
Keymasher Ultimate is a free game about protecting your keyboard from "Seglings," which are little rectangular enemies on tiny two-wheeled scooters. For reasons unknown (there's no time for lore, remember) the Seglings want to roll around on your keyboard and wreck all your keys. Luckily, you have the perfect weapons to stop them: your keys.

Overwatch 2 beta will make a 'secret' Mercy ability easier to trigger
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/overwatch-2-beta-will-make-a-secret-mercy-ability-easier-to-trigger/
Overwatch 2 is in its beta stages, and the theme so far is Blizzard's determination to make support heroes a bit less lacklustre. The developer recently made a bunch of changes, including giving Zenyatta a badass super kick, and now it's looking at perennial favourite Mercy.

Deathloop now has a photo mode and better accessibility options
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/deathloop-now-has-a-photo-mode-and-better-accessibility-options/
Deathloop, for me, was one of the most stylish games of 2021. Though firmly set as a shooter on a little dystopian island, there was something very Met Gala about a man in hot pink trying to kill you as you run away screaming. The fashion of the characters and NPCs is something special, as is the highly stylised world they inhabit, so it's only natural that Arkane has finally introduced a photo mode along with other accessibility options in a recent update.

And these are the GOG and Steam deals for the weekend:

+GOG

+Steam

And that's about it. Until next time, I hope you have a happy and gaming weekend.

LG shat the bed. They were first to OLED for so many years and they could have cornered the PC Monitor market but instead, they decided to be arrogant. Now Samsung has come out with their superior QD-OLED tech while being small enough to be a good monitor size that is making high end PC gamers jizz their pants and QD-OLED is superior in TVs too. Next year, QD-OLED is gonna get even cheaper and I have no doubt it will be in even more monitor sizes. LG pulled an Intel in the monitor space.

If you couple that Zen4 CPU with the latest leak from Moore's Law Is Dead, only those that must get a CPU should do it now.

For those that don't know, I'm talking about this leak: https://wccftech.com/amd-next-gen-zen-4-zen-4c-zen-5-zen-6-core-architecture-details-raphael-dragon-range-phoenix-cpus/

This is a summary of the improvements of Zen4 compared to Zen3:

  • 15-24% IPC Increase (Over Zen 3)
  • 8-14% Clock Increase (Over Zen 3)
  • 28-37% ST Perf Increase (Over Zen 3)
  • ST-Like or Higher MT Perf Increase (Over Zen 3)
  • 1 MB L2 / 4 MB L3 Per Core (vs 512 KB / 4 MB L3 per Zen 3 Core)

WTF?!

I can understand developing something to give us the sense of smell, but why would someone need someting that makes it harder to breathe? It's stupid.

More like a couple of days. When you buy a product, there are certain aspects thats makes it easy to tell whether or not you will keep it or sell it. The main reason I sold my Deck was because of the fan noise as the high pitch sound was so annoying that it was louder than my laptops fans and that's saying something. And since every reviewer mentioned this exact issue, this wasn't a one off problem and Valve support at the time didn't have a solution.

That along with other problems would have meant that I would have stopped using it and hoped that Valve would fix the problems. But based on experiences, while I am sure the software problems I experienced would eventually be fixed, I doubted the fan noise would have. Especially based on what various reviewers were saying about how confined it was and it needs to be that loud and etc. Two months later however, Valve actually did fix all of my issues including the fan which really is something rare for the industry. Typically the hardware problems are unfixable yet here we are. So while I regret my decision in retrospec, I don't regret selling it based on my reasons and experience. So next time with Valve, I'll be more patient.

Guess if you want the next gen experience of under water levels, that would be a good candidate loll.

Such a shame Steam Deck is completely Steam store exclusive locked up ...

Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition: Ryzen 7 5800H, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, 512GB SSD + 2TB SSD, RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6

It ain't.

Heroic Launcher (Epic Games Store + GOG.com games), Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, EA Origin, itch.io all work.

GamePass Streaming and Stadi aStreaming also works.

Dozens of Emulators also work.

DRM-free games also work.

Woah i think you massively missed it(probably you've gotten high pressured by the ignorants). No, Conina. I was only complaining just about Steam Deck that they're not letting me to buy a hardware due to exclusive store and limitation country, not the games. lmao

AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 - FSR 2.0 vs Native vs DLSS - The DF Tech Review

And here is why you wait for Digital Foundry instead of the usual tech press that don't do this for a living. There's a lot of info and most of the info is interesting so please watch the video if you are interested.

But the highlights are:

FSR 2.0 runs better on Nvidia GPUs including Ampere and Pascal compared to their AMD counterparts.
Lower end GPUs get worse FSR performance so using FSR on lower end GPUs such as 1060/580 won't be as good
DLSS handles performance mode a lot better than FSR 2.0's performance mode at the same resolutions
DLSS runs faster than FSR on RTX GPUs.
FSR 2.0 similar to Unreal Engines TSR will require manual tuning from devs where as DLSS is a plug-in that will do the reconstruction by itself.
As for the side by sides and this is what I meant by DLSS handling complex situations much better...

It's alright, not your fault. It's Valve, they wanted to prevent from or avoid the scalpers and sell their gaming hardware directly to the steam users carefully during chips shortage.

So overall, FSR 2.0 is a step in the right direction. While in the complex scenes and lower resolutions and with lower end RTX cards, DLSS wins handely, FSR 2.0 is still a big improvement compared to FSR 1.0. This does mean that FSR 2.0 is no longer a simple shader pass and instead, they need to implemented in the render pipeline afaik. And because of that, you won't have situations like on the Steam Deck where you can just enable it globally.

The thing that people will continue to miss understand about FSR/TSR and etc is that it's not a tech that will make aging systems run games better unless you are okay with a lot of compromises and such. FSR 2.0 upscaling to 4k is where it's at it's best and the lower the resolution you go, the worser it gets. So if you have an older GPU, it begs the question, do you have a 4k monitor? Cause if you don't, you will probably turn it on, see how bad it looks and then turn it off. Combine that with the performance uplift being less and less the as you go down the GPU's chain and maybe you should ask yourself if lowering down the graphical settings is just a better option all together.
