Well, at least now we know why Rockstar doesn't plan to bring the PS5/XsX patch to PC, because it would be mostly useless.

Regarding GTA 6, some of the rumors we heard about Rockstar was that it was in trouble because there were internal fights on how the game should be, and I'm talking about some wanting a more politically correct game while others prefered the classic approach. Given how more subtle was GTA V compard to the classic PS2-era games, tonning it down even more would make it very bland. Anyway, we'll see what they come up with.

And I agree with TallSilhouette, a new, bigger Vice City would couild be great. But a big part of what made that game great was the 80s music, and I doubt the new game will be set in any other time than present day.

Please excuse my bad English.

There's lots of great music today inspired by that era. That's what I want in there.

Personally I would like a new city. How many times they gonna keep going back to the same cities? Auto theft isn't exclusive to the US.

Going beyond the US would definitely be an interesting twist for the series. Anyway, no love for the GTA: London expansions? (Let me ignore the fact that they're like 20 years old now.)

Yeah Rockstar used to be a machine. Churning out high quality content gen on gen with multiple games, different IP's and full single player expansions. These days they just seem to riding on the success of GTA V (online) and not much else for several generations.. well that and RDR 2. They outsourced GTA collection to a horrible dev and then spend years on what seems to be a quite straight forward port to PS5 and Series consoles.

Its going to be years away.. but I'm quite looking forward to playing GTA VI.. I just hope of it content wont be neutered too much for modern audiences. Seriously, the virtue signalling, censorship and overly and in your face PC in media these days is such a drag. I guess that's why I enjoy more Japanese/Korean content these days over Western stuff. Like I can't see most of the stuff in GTA games making its way into 6 without a lot of controversy.

Lol so true. I keep going backwards in time for western TV shows because I am tired of all the woke nonsense in today western content and that is certainly going into games. I was in a bit of a hiatus when it comes to anime cause of all the western stuff like Game of Thrones and Expanse and etc. But now that there's all these shows that are pretty cringe, it's like no thanks.

Quite the shame that we can't have modern content without adding in nonsense but alas. Hopefully it's just a fad and goes away eventually but until then, least we will have our Asian content.

Hoping it's a passing thing as people already are tiring of the PC of all things media. I just hate that it restrict creativity and directors visions. Instead of to push an agenda that for all intents and purposes actually proves nothing but segregate people and what they set out ot do. I guess we still have Asian stuff which don't follow these trends. For Expanse I couldn't get along with the latest season, it was pretty terrible. The Witcher S2 was also kinda dissapointing.

Idd Asian content creators mostly could not care and less about that. But yeah been watching some old shows and games. There are some good stuff that's still modern friendly but meh, they're cringe in a lot of ways. Also been playing Elden Ring, which is absolutely fantastic.

Granted it was a LONG time since I played it, I loved GTA London. I remember the cockney thugs in that as well the banter. The closest we're going to get is WD:Legion (sadly) and that's no GTA replacement but more Ubisoft cookie clutter open world. I'd say there's potential a opportunity for another GTA set in London, though compared to many cities US states just there isn't that much to it outside of landmarks, buildings and parks lol. But then thats London for you xD

I'd love a GTA set in Paris, Tokyo or Kowloon/Mongkok (Hong Kong).

Just saw this shade in Alex Battalia's GTA5 video:

I remember the foliage wars between PS4 and Xbox One, which ignored the advantages of the PC version.

Also no tombstones on the PS5 graveyard:

I can't remember exactly, but I joined here around 2014, which was a year after it released on 7th gen, but I do remember there being some grass wars on this site for some time and it was daft then as it is daft now, especially with how PC is always left to the wayside with these comparisons or ppl using ye old "well duh, you'd have to buy a 2k PC to run it like that", to shut PC out.

I don't think I saw anyone raise a stink when RDR 2 PC got upgrades for it's release and the comparisons coming out, but I can't rem as big of a stink like it was for GTA V.

They used to be one of the devs to look out for, the one that always got heads turning and copies selling like hotcakes. They still sell like hotcakes to this day, but they've clearly stopped caring about quality and timing, as well as them knowing they are a big deal, so they don't have to do much to lift a finger.

Also not a fan of how they've been slowly moving away from SP style content over time, in favour of MP PVP with MT's loaded up the wazoo, and now they are doing stupid shit, like attaching a shitty launcher no one asked for to their game (one of the reasons why I flat out uninstalled GTA V on my end and any R* game that "needs" it).

Part of me wants to get hype for GTA VI, but I don't want no R* launcher to slap on my desktop, and I'm kinda done with the "release on same gen of consoles, but drastically inflate HW requirements and have fans call it "demanding" (because it also feels like R* stopped giving a shit about PC optimisation, and just relying on raw horsepower instead).

I'm just glad that we're past GTA IV 'optimisation' era. God that game had such poor performance on PC. Even on beefy hardware years later it still had big hitches and had unstable framerates. Reminds me a bit like Crysis, without the mind blowing graphics and tech in it lol. Thanks Rockstar! But people are going to throw money at them regardless. Just look at how many copies sold for GTA demaster trilogy. its like people don't learn, and buy these AAA games at launch for the name regardless of quality and then go cry on Twitter etc. And don't do any better than support shoddy practices and poor releases by reward them instead.

Companies like EA and Bethesda release their 'big' games broken and expect modders and community to fix their games for them. While on the other hand we have games like Elden Ring that are well complete and.. *mild shock* not broken. Goes on to sell extremely well. Rockstar meanwhile sits on their hands with lack of content for SP and goes all in for the whales on their Live game and has the gall to go after modders for fixing their shit and caring for their stuff. Its wild.

And don't get me started on the launcher. Burn it with fire. Christ you can have anti cheat on Steam/Epic without making a proprietary launcher for it. Heck that doesn't stop hackers from entering online matches or pirates pirating their games >_> I just want more games Rockstar, where they at? F GTA online, played that for a couple months and its enough tbh. I;d settle for another Bully in the meantime or a smaller AA game from them until GTA 6.
