I don't really follow too much drama. He does make content that sometimes I agree with and sometimes I disagree with. I believe his FFVIIR review was the one that I disagreed with but after playing Halo, I do agree with this video.

I just found it really jarring, because we both know the dude is trying to be funny 99% of the time when he makes his content, that two times he decided "you know what, I take personal offence to two fans being critical about my content, so instead of taking it in to possibly improve, I'm gonna waste two content slots to dunk on both of them and try to not come off as petty".

Like I've seen comedians in the past dunk of ppl calling them out, but half the time it's usually done in jest, but then there are times where the comedian gets pissy and throws it right back at them and sometimes the room can be read by the audience when that happens. Dunkey wasting two video slots to do just the latter was an easy read for me.

It's fine if you agree with his vid, I just wish the dude looked back on what he did, the time he wasted and do better by himself. He's probably moved on from that, but I still see him as a douche for not apologising for stepping out like that (same reason why I'm always going to be snapping Ubiosft/Timmy/MS's hands for still not apologising for citing us all for piracy and giving us GFWl/UWP).

Yea I do feel like this happens to a lot of youtubers that become successful. I remember when Linus was doing unboxings for NCIX. He seemed like a goofy chill nerd back then which felt like he was one of us. Then he became super successful and now he feels like an arsehole that at times, we see him defending mal practices from companies while ignoring many concerns unless there is a very severe backlash.

It does feel like for many, they let their success get to their heads and they feel immune to criticism. This also makes youtube's removable of the dislike button even more urghh worthy. But at the end of the day, I can tolerate some amount of nonsense but if they go overboard, I do certainly hit the unsubscribe button and "Not not recommend channel" option. Hopefully youtube won't remove those one day...

The best review that I have seen of Halo Infinite:

Yeah sometimes I agree with Dunkey, other times not. This one pretty much hits the nail how I feel about the game. The way he's semi serious in this review shows he quite likes a game (like the combat is pretty darn great), though with quite a few caveats attached which mirrors my experience with it. The one thing they do 343i deserves recognition for, is how polished the games are in both MP and SP campaign. Granted they had an extra year to release it, its a good example to show that you can delay a game for the better. Instead of buggy, untested messes we more often or not get from open world games.

Also, just watched his takes on GTA III and BF 2077 for the lol's and the latter nearly had me in tears xD

In some ways I agree but in others I don't when it comes to their polish. On one hand, I do like that it's effectively bug free. But on the other, the performance feels very poor in the open world. A 3080 Ti can't hold 4k 60fps which is insane when there are a ton of more visually demanding games that can perform 70-90fps if not more. There are a few more issues that DF noted but the performance you get for the visuals you receive is quite nonsense. Of course online is a different story as it's pretty good there.

So I'll give 343 half a recognition if that makes any sense. While there are effectively no bugs, the performance shouldn't be this bad.

And yea, I do like his jokey style. His 2019 Modern Warfare was so dang funny and yea, GTA/BF/2077 were top notch.

True optimization leaves a lot to be desired on PC. Which is weird because is that it doesn't even look that great to require such specs to run like that. Like honestly some of the stuff looked really rough in the areas with some rather static environments and fairly limited decals left in fire fights you'd expect to get well over 60, hell like more that 100fps at 4K with a top end GPU. Think I was one of the lucky ones as the game ran fine on my GTX 1070 at 1440P at mostly all high settings.

But yeah it kinda feels like PC's port was left second fiddle (as usual) and we're once again needing to brute force our way to get the experience you expect from a $60 game. Also something that a lot of reviews missed though tbf a lot of reviews were on Xbox. I just hope a game I'm really anticipating (Elden Ring) runs well from launch or I'm gonna be piiiiissed.

@BasilZero

They probably left it there for people who have the original games. I'd imagine they can make some money from people still buying DLC's even though the GOTY version is already out.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC Tech Review: A Disappointing, Barebones Port

Shat port that can only be played properly if you do two things:

a) Download Dynamic Resolution Disabler Mod
b) Run it in Direct X 11

Overall, I would still recommend playing this game on PC. Just not for the asking price. You can also not use the Dynamic Resolution Disabler if your PC isn't powerful enough.

Thats nothing compared to some of the shadow issues ive seen on PC while playing it, the was this black shadow like thing coming out of clouds arm until i restarted the game to fix it. Its a really bad port. But i think Nixxion (Or whatever the name of that porting studio that Sony now owns) Done SE's other PC ports, if thats the case i expect bad ports from them from now on till they find a new porting studio. Im just happy i didnt pay for this mess of a port (Not game as its a really great game always was) until they fix the issues give us more options and release the rest of it.

Yea pretty much. I will probably buy it when it's on Steam and the issues have been fixed. I did already buy it on PS4 at launch so SE already has that money. The best thing SE did for this port is they didn't include Denuvo which means the modding potential is gonna be awesome, especially with cosmetics and such.

Guaranteed that the Steam version will have Denuvo lol.

I got it also on PS4 last year or so when it went on sale so I'm in no rush.

I'm guessing KH series will come to Steam first sometime in early 2022.

It would be weird to put Denuvo on Steam as the purpose of Denuvo is to protect the game against piracy as it costs money and fees to implement. Since the game is already cracked because it doesn't have Denuvo, what would be the purpose of putting Denuvo with the steam release other than to waste money and piss people off?

I'm playing the game on PC and it seems to runs really well. I added those two mods and actually looks and runs quite a bit better than on console. Granted fixing DX11 breaks HDR. Still, its silly that we have to rely on modders to fix games on release.

You know what's weird, when DF compared XV to VII R, because I still get some stuttering in XV and the shadow render distance bug is still not fixed, and grass still cripples my 1080ti lol (no hairworks on either).
