So overall, I think my game of the year is gonna be... And I can't believe I am saying this... Guardians of the Galaxy

I was originally going to skip it cause of the poor execution of the Avengers but I am glad that I didn't. It's a single player only game with no micro transactions or any of that nonsense. The thing that really sells this game for me are the character interactions and the very unique and interesting Sci-Fi locations. This is one of those games that will give your eyes a visual orgasm if you like Sci-Fi genre. One of the main reasons I kept playing was just to see the next unique and interesting place we would travel to. The story is also quite good. It won't blow your mind but there are certainly a good amount of interesting points. The choices do matter so it does add to the replay-ability.

The gameplay isn't really anything to write home about. It's good enough to get you through the game and when it comes together, it can be very rewarding but you won't remember much about the gameplay after you are done. The character interactions between the team has a lot of chemistry that I feel are missing in a lot of games. Now this is a marvel game so if you don't like Marvel Humor, you aren't gonna like this game. But to it's credit, it does have some feels moments.

This game had some patches already but it feels like it's still not as polished as it needs to be as there are still some bugs. But it's nothing game breaking.

I'd say give it a go if you are looking for a game to play this holiday season especially if you like the sci-fi/space setting. It should be on sale on cdkeys if you are on PC but I am sure it will be discounted as well.

Nice. Seen a few people here from the forum rate this game quite highly, so consider my interest peaked. I've started playing ME (remaster) recently so all for a game with a good narrative and interactions between members. Something to add to the Christmas wish list I think!

My personal GOTY so far is Metroid Dread, but that could all change within a few months with Halo Infinite (campaign) releasing soon and others like GoTG which I have not played.

If all (some) the crypto miners and scalpers just bought Nvidia stock. They would have ended up at same kind of profit.

Edit: Year to date return is 160% on the stock. So, math is pretty close.

Yea it's a lot better than I would have expected. The trailers and such certainly didn't do it justice and I am glad I got it as a gift. I did hear a lot of good things about Metroid Dread so that's also a good choice. We will see how Halo ends up. Maybe 343 will finally redeem themselves but I am not gonna give them the benefit of doubt until I see the reviews.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the cryto miners have been using their mining profits to buy Nvidia stock to get even more rich.

The original PC versions of GTA 3, GTA Vice City & GTA San Andreas will soon be available for purchase
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-original-pc-versions-of-gta-3-gta-vice-city-gta-san-andreas-will-soon-be-available-for-purchase/
Rockstar has just announced that the classic/original PC Version of GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas will be, once again, available for purchase. The team claimed that these classic games will be available as a bundle on Rockstar Store soon. However, there is no word yet on whether these classics will return to Steam.

So they took them off Steam/GoG to get folks to buy the DE, and when refunds were demanded, they decide to give them back, but only on their always online shitty client?.

R* don't learn very fast do they?.

Even if someone buys them from that client, it's going to be tied to it and when those servers go offline again, you won't be able to play the  games. People tried to play RDR's SP mode and when the servers went offline, they couldn't even launch the game.

They should just return the classics to Steam and stop making things worse.

No More Robots' Mike Rose has revealed that only 1% of Let's Build a Zoo sales came from the Epic Games Store and that there were several issues with the game's launch on Steam.

Sounds like EGS continues to be shat for gamers and developers.

Exclusive: Halo Infinite Now Vs. 2020 Campaign Comparison (4K)

Meh visually sure there are some improvements, especially to the colors but overall just feels very meh. Certainly no where near the wow factor that I got from Cyberpunk/Ratchet/Forza Horizon 5.

We will see how it ends up being but man, if it wasn't for gamepass, I probably would be skipping.

Not a chance. Dont give a fuck how the game looks (When did looks matter more then gameplay??), after playing the multi player for a bit this feels the best Halo has since Halo 3 imo its the best multi player FPS out atm BF and CoD this year dont even come close imo. Looking at the gfx alone and trying to run the game down because of that is very very selfish imo that goes to both you and Chaz.

If ye dont like Halo and ye only wanted a Wanking GFX game fair enough but for any Halo fan this is the best its been in ages and is really bringing the Halo name back to where it should be as the king of FPS.

Imo graphics is plenty important and there have been several Halo games that looked quite good for their time. I am not saying it's more important than gameplay but for a flagship series that's on the box of a Series X, it should give me that wow factor in every front. There's no reason why we can't expect a franchise like Halo to deliver on both Graphics and Gameplay and there's no excuse for it to look as meh as it does.

Sure the gameplay could be excellent and if it does, then I'll commend it but 343 hasn't had a good track record so there's plenty of reason to be down on it as they lost the privilege of having the benefit of doubt a long time ago.

"Choose Wisely Bundle" with Steam keys for Heavy Rain & Beyond: Two Souls (and a few other games) for ~9 Euros:
https://www.humblebundle.com/games/choose-wisely-bundle

I already had these games in the Epic Store (and the PS3 and PS4 versions), but I want to try them on the Steam Deck in February... should be a good fit. With the voucher of that bundle I also got the Steam version of Detroit: Become Human for ~15 Euros.

And I bought the Ultimate Edition of "Life is Strange: True Colors" today, which will include the delayed remastered versions of the first two LiS games... so I have to make a lot of decisions in the next months.

Think a lot of us felt that way especially after Avengers. Unfortunately, the game might be overlooked thanks to that. But I do really like the Marvel Universe and stories so I'll be definitely giving the game a go. And Dread is pretty great, can get a bit unfair like an old NES game though worth checking out particularly if you like Metroidvanias and 2D games.

As for Halo yeah I'm cautiously optimistic 343 have yet to make a Halo campaign that really pulled me in (I played and completed 1-3 to Reach). I can say the multiplayer is decent from what I've played several matches and we do have some good first impressions from a few outlets from IGN. But yeah I think its best to wait for reviews.

Well then lucky the game also looks great from what i have seen, it defo doesnt look shit or even close to it and we didnt even get to see the RT update yet.

And you can play the game right now, you dont need to wait for reviews unless you want to see what they think of the campaign and so far all signs are pointing good on that front.

Pretty much everyone's impressions with the game so far be it campaign or multi player has been great and a return to form.

Last year id understand your opinion but now after the game has been getting so much praise for its gameplay and still looking good not so much.

It certainly doesn't look awful but to me, it doesn't look that great either. It just looks meh in my eyes. I have been seeing positive previews about the campaign but I generally wait for the final reviews to tell the entire story. The online is fun but the post you quoted was in regards to the campaign and not online as that I treat that as a separate thing entirely since the gameplay experience will change between online multiplayer and campaign.
