Lol yea. UC4 will be interesting as it will actually show whether or not Sony cares about the quality of PC ports. HZD was in-house engine and it was meh. Days Gone is UE4 and it was great but a lot of UE4 ports are great. UC4 is in-house again. Will they goof it like HZD or they gonna take this one seriously?

I'd say that the 250%+ figure only takes into account the cost of the port, not the whole development costs of the game.

And regarding Uncharted 4, I'm not sure if it will do well. Sure, it's one of Sony's biggest franchises, but that can actually be the biggest problem since not many will have played the prior 3 games and, therefore, won't have too much interest in the fourth installment. A better approach would be to launch the how it's called, the Drake Collection or something like that? With the first 3 games, and then, if it does well, launch the fourth one.

Their baseball game could do well on PC, but its biggest problem is that it's a baseball game and that limits the audience.

UC is one of their prized products, so it becomes a job for port quality that they simply cannot fail at. They either make it a masterful port, or it's going to end up being a setback for them.

I also find it strange how they aren't porting the collection first.

Battlefield 2021/Battlefield 6 Full Reveal Trailer Leaked
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/battlefield-2021-battlefield-6-full-reveal-trailer-leaked/
Last week, we shared some GIFs from the upcoming trailer for Battlefield 2021/Battlefield 6. And, from the looks of it, the full reveal trailer has been leaked online, and you can watch it below.
>> You can try to watch it, but I'd advise against it given the poor quality and that you won't be able to see it in full (almost half the video is covered).

Square Enix has just announced two new Dragon Quest games. The first one is a brand new part in the series, Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate. The second DQ game is an HD 2D Remake of Dragon Quest III.
>> And that will be the last time I post about those games until we get confirmation of a PC version/port.

Creative Assembly job ads tease next sci-fi FPS from the Alien: Isolation team
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/creative-assembly-job-ads-tease-next-sci-fi-fps-from-the-alien-isolation-team/
Developer Creative Assembly has teased the next project from members of its Alien: Isolation team, posting various job adverts relating to the title alongside an image that looks like our first glimpse of the project. The image is clearly marked "not representative of gameplay" and contains several elements nodding to the job ads and Sega, including a little Sonic in space, so take this more as a flavoured hint of what's to come.

Old School RuneScape finally adds in-game clans today
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/old-school-runescape-finally-adds-in-game-clans-today/

The Garden Path, an incredibly snug-looking life sim from solo developer carrotcake, is heading to PC later this year.
The game begins like other slice-of-life sims: You start a new life surrounded by nature, get to know the strange characters who inhabit the space alongside you, and serenely pass the time fishing or gardening.

BlizzCon 2021 is not happening
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/blizzcon-2021-is-not-happening/
Blizzard announced today that there will be no BlizzCon 2021. The annual event was first held in 2005, but the coronavirus pandemic squashed last year's event and has now ended plans for an in-person event this year (BlizzCon usually takes place in October or November). This February saw the first BlizzConline as a virtual replacement for the missed 2020 event (and it had plenty going on), and it looks like something similar—but with a twist—will fill the gap until late 2022 at least.

Far Cry 6 gameplay will be revealed on Friday

(...)
In terms of actual gameplay, Far Cry 6 remains something of a mystery, but we'll get our first proper look at it on Friday, May 28, in a livestream set to begin at 9:30 am PT/12:30 pm ET. Far Cry's basic loop is pretty well established at this point, but Ubisoft has suggested that a focus on verticality in Yara's capital city of Esperanza "is a complete game-changer," and maybe even a bit Assassin's Creed-like.

Over 350,000 Call of Duty accounts have been banned for racist names or toxicity in the past year
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/over-350000-call-of-duty-accounts-have-been-banned-for-racist-names-or-toxicity-in-the-past-year/
Activision has made some notable moves in its effort to combat toxicity in Call of Duty: Warzone and other games in the series, including the implementation of filters to catch potentially offensive player names, clan tags, and text chat, and bans of more than 350,000 Call of Duty accounts for "for racist names or toxic behavior" over the past year. There's more to come: In an update posted today, Activision said it intends to expand player reporting options and moderation, and will also take steps to cut back on toxic behavior over voice chat.

Scavengers is a battle royale, sort of, although James said in his April preview that it's really more akin to a friendlier, more accessible take on Escape from Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown. (...)
Soon everyone will have a chance to sample that large-scale action, as the first ScavLab public event is set to take place this weekend. The studio hopes to get up to 5,000 players into the shared environment simultaneously for a session featuring "competitive sports minigames [and] large-scale combat," as well as an online AMA with Midwinter co-founder and CEO Josh Holmes.

You're talking about Alder Lake there? Because that's a no.

Alder Lake has only 16 PCIe 5.0 lanes, all for the GPU slot(s). SSDs only get 4.0 or even 3.0 (PCH has both 4.0 and 3.0) depending on how the connector is wired.

In other words, if you want to connect your SSD with PCIe 5.0, you'll have to wait until at least 2022.

So Granite Ridge vs Granite Rapids, lol. Granite wins for sure

I do doubt it a bit though. AMD is running fine with their painters so far and going back to the ridges they abandoned as swiftly as they brought them in in 2017 seems a bit backwards to me.

It most certainly is big.LITTLE. big power draw, LITTLE efficiency.

Seriously though, this could only be the peak power draws, which are already around those values right now with Tiger Lake. But it certainly is disappointing to see because that means Intel won't improve on battery efficiency.
