That would seriously suck. Not just for us, but especially for the workers in the fabs, as they get shafted while the execs shovel the millions from the price hike.

Well, it's Korea and not China. Workers can go to court to demand the money they deserve by law (because I'm guessing that Korea has laws against labor explotation).

And if they can't... well, it would suck major ass for all of us, but they can always go on strike and make the company lose billions in lost contracts and missed deliveries.

You meant Taiwan, right?

And yeah, it's also supposedly illegal over there... but not sure Taipeh will do anything against it considering TSMC in by far the biggest company of the country and thus might get away with it.

But seriously, the gall of telling them basically "You can resign, there are students waiting for your job".

Sorry, yes I meant Taiwan. I was thinking about Samsung and mixed both.

The menace of firing somone because there are others that would take his/her place is used too often, and sometimes it's an empty menace. In a business like TSMC, you need competent and trained people to run your business, and while you can obviously train new ones, you can't do that fast enough if enough people go on strike or "get sick" at the same time.

Rumor - Valve working on two Half Life games. One is called codenamed Half Life X, other is a multiplayer (zombies?)

One of the two game is Citadel, who supports both VR and non-VR modes and the second one is Half Life: X (just a codename for now).
Since the rest is in his Patreon, I can't share more information for now.

Citadel is, apparently, a multiplayer game that pits VR and M&K players together.
The game so far is looking to be a Zombie Master type of thing,

I'd be down for a new MP game from Valve! Large mountain of salt as with all rumors. That and Valve are constantly working on stuff and never releasing them so I wouldn't be surprised but thought I'd share :P

This is gonna be like the way Brazil treats 24, so they'll be like 2+1 lmao.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Sega forces Yakuza: Like a Dragon off of SteamDB over piracy fears
https://www.pcgamer.com/sega-forces-yakuza-like-a-dragon-off-of-steamdb-over-piracy-fears/
The Steam Database, or SteamDB, is a third-party tool that provides all sorts of information about games on Steam, from developer info and player numbers to release dates and modification times, update history, and configuration details. Pretty much anything you could possibly want to know about a game that's on Steam, SteamDB can tell you.
Unless that game happens to be Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which as of very recently does not have a normal SteamDB page. Instead, there's a message saying, "This page was taken down because SEGA is claiming we distribute their game here (we don't)," and a link to a series of tweets that explains the situation in further detail.

Call of Duty: Warzone's next monster update is 81GB smaller if you delete Modern Warfare

Call of Duty: Warzone fans don't have much to get excited about in tomorrow's midseason update. While Black Ops – Cold War is getting new maps and modes, Warzone fans are getting a sniper rifle and a few new operators. But that doesn't mean that our hard drives are safe—tomorrow's Warzone patch is a whopping 133GB download if you also have Modern Warfare installed. If not, you're in slightly better shape.

Magic: Legends makes a monetization concession, framerate improvements
https://www.pcgamer.com/magic-legends-makes-a-monetization-concession-framerate-improvements/
Free-to-play online action RPG Magic: Legends had a rough open beta launch last week, at least in terms of publicity. It was criticized for performance issues, design issues, and for its microtransactions, with the hard-to-acquire Dimir Assassin class being the biggest grievance. Over the weekend, producer Steve Ricossa explained how Cryptic Studios is responding to that criticism, which includes adding an easier free path to the Dimir Assassin.

Earlier this week, the publisher announced the promotion of Armin Zerza as chief financial officer (via BusinessWire). Lots of news today bois!

NVIDIA enables Resizable BAR on GeForce RTX 30 graphics cards

https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-enables-resizable-bar-on-geforce-rtx-30-graphics-cards

You do need to update the GPU VBIOS to make it work and also need to make sure your motherboard has Resizable Bar support and to enable it in the BIOS. They also added more games to the list. Don't forget to update the driver as well!

Rocket Lake reviews are out.

TLDR: i9 is Slower than Ryzen 9 5900X while being more expensive. i5 trades blows with Ryzen 5 while being slightly less expensive. i9 is hella toasty in thermals and while consuming twice the power as a 5900x when overclocked. Overall, getting the i5 is the best value as it's cheaper and if you want more performance... Get Ryzen!
