Such a clickbait title:

All it is is MS's HDMI "update".


They could have done far better with the likes of:

Xbox game bar

Game mode

DX12

HwA GPU scheduling

But no, it's an HDMI update, and we've still got a market where those monitors are rare in general and cost a lot, but somehow that's an omega level change, such a banger of n update, that it's somehow better than the 4 above pieces of tech, that should be giving PC gamers a bigger boon in performance...

Guy just comes off as a typical normie, all visuals, little care for performance.

I just want the 4 mentioned above to fucking work and give greater boons than the absolute minimal they currently give (HwA GPU sched hardly does anything at all).

Good news! I was able to get my hands on TWO RTX 3070s courtesy of a friend who owns and store. I didn't want to ask him for the obvious reasons (he might have customers that want them) but I still went just to ask him if he knew where I could get a GPU at all and he went to the back to "check up on his computer". Turns out the guy had two of these cards, but they are engineering samples. He literally threw them into a bag and that was it, but hey! I have a GPU at last!

He admits PC gaming has a problem when it comes to HDR support not being all there, but he's like "but a dash of HDR sprinkle magic and every game will magically get HDR support, even games dating back to the stone age".

That is one beast of a computer! Least you will be able to watch some educational vdeos while you wait.

Nothing wrong with Kaspersky. If it comes with a year license, use that then stick with it or make do with Windows Defender.

Lucky you! Just remember to give him the one you won't be keeping, so that someone else can be as lucky as you.

I'm sending the other to my old man since he does a lot of technical work that uses GPU power and his current rig will almost certainly be an outdated rustbucket by now. 

Also, he has a 3090 in his own PC.
