You got lucky you got them before the raise.Well, except the new CPU.

Still, it's a dick move to raise the price everywhere when the tariff is an USA only thing. Leave the rest of us out of it God dammit!

Please excuse my bad English.

I bought a DX Racer King series gaming chair back in 2007ish? Still using it.
From there the concept has really exploded... Especially after every Twitch streamer and Youtube personality had one.

I personally use the lumbar support... I get it's not everyones taste, but it works for me, probably why they made it removable.

Mostly got it because I got tired of office chairs breaking... So I thought the King Series with it's 180kg+ weight rating would last, which it has. Can't believe it's 14 years old this year, only a few tiny cracks in the PU leather.

I checked my bank statements today and I wondered since when Amazon is collecting my rent. Turns out my mainboard costs exactly as much as a month of rent.

(before you wonder, this is the result of an incredibly low rent and an incredibly overpriced mainboard)

PC components prices are creeping up everywhere. Think I'm done with with buying new gear for a while :/

Unless I can get a 3070 Super in the next few months, which is looking very unlikely, due to ridiculous demand from scalpers, bots and miners alike. Just going to make do and play other games on consoles for now until the dust settles. I only just play WoW and Rocket League anyways lol.

So GN did a new video comparing a ps5 to a "4 year old $500 PC"

He compares the ps5 Raster performance to a 1060 in DMCV, 1070 Ti in Borderlands 3 and 1080 in Dirt 5 paired with a 3300X. They also try to match the settings spec per spec. Also they are going for high framerate/performance mode and not visual quality mode. And the results are:

While the point of the video is a bit questionable, especially as he only tests in 1080p, compares different gpus in different games and obviously the ps5 is able to do Ray Tracing vs Pascal cards aren't as well as the limited number of game selection. The performance numbers are still a bit interesting. Especially with the lows. Maybe these games needed more time in the oven or something weird is going on. Maybe the cpu isn't as fast as I was initially thinking, especially with the low cache. Or maybe it's just the devs didn't spend much time optimizing on these particular games.

That texture quality on the ps5 is pretty yikes though for Borderlands 3:

Also if anyone was wondering whether or not AMD AIB gpu prices were baked in to their already high price... They were not!

Imaginary prices for imaginary hardware.

Twitch just announced that they are going to remove the PogChamp emote.

This year is gonna be worse than 2020 bois

Good riddance. I never liked how PogChamp was being spammed everywhere. If the emote itself was not available (e.g. on other services), it was the text everywhere.

And another meme is becoming the symbol of right wing extremists.
