Not a fan of the current GPU market situation. I was getting impatient but the prices weren't right, so I finally upgraded my GTX 770 to... a GTX 970 until I can actually get a proper GPU in a nice price range. Ought to be a decent upgrade, but it's still severely outdated.

As an owner of a GTX 1070, it's sad how much do I have to go down the benchmarks to find my card. You got a nive upgrade, but yeah, it's quite outdated.

Let's hope supply can get on par with demand soon and prices can start to fall into reasonable levels, because I agree that they're too high.

*** NEW CONTESTS ***

It's one of the hard contests, having to an image in several reviews (5 again in this case). I'd love to give you a clue, but I still haven't been able to search for it myself.

*Edit* Found it. It's in one of the second half.

The two prizes are:

1st - A 1TB MP34 M.2 PCIe SSD and a 32GB (2x16GB) kit of T-Create Classic DDR4-3200 memory.
2nd - A 1TB Cardea Zero Z440 M.2 PCIe SSD and a 16GB (2x8GB) kit of T-Create Classic DDR4-3200 memory.

Sadly, this contest is UK and Europe ONLY one again.

Cyberpunk 2077 has a hidden Cinematic RTX mode
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-cinematic-rtx-mode/
Cyberpunk 2077 may throw up a few glitches from time to time, but it's hard to deny that it's a pretty game. Especially if you've got the hardware to turn those ray tracing pretties on. An enterprising user, andwhat112 over at NexusMods (via Tom's Hardware), has discovered some hidden switches that go beyond what the game's interface normally offers, including something called Cinematic RTX.
Turning this on apparently improves level of detail settings, lighting, and ambient occlusion at the cost of 2GB more VRAM usage compared to the highest in-game settings. We were hard pushed to spot any difference, but your mileage may vary.

GTA and Red Dead Online players get guns and sweaters for Christmas
https://www.pcgamer.com/gta-and-red-dead-online-players-get-guns-and-sweaters-for-christmas/
Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 have begun their festive celebrations, the most obvious sign of which is the snowfall carpeting southern San Andreas and all five states of the Frontier. Red Dead's grumpy cowpokes now have Christmas trees illuminating their jowels in what I'm sure is a period-appropriate fashion, and GTA Online's cash-happy outlaws can sprint about in Christmas jumpers to sprinkle some cheer amidst the homicide.

Hei! At least you didn't have to go through most of them like I did .

And so far this year this kind of contest has only had 5 articles to check. Other years it's been a dozen.

Having shitty internet really sucks during Steam sales.

Spent 12k on new games and now I'm waiting for them to download at 100KB/s

Dude! I think I missed a heartbeat after seeing that 12k number .

Congratulations on your purchases, and I hope you have fun with them... once you're done downloading them, of course.

Well it's 12k yen, so it's not that much

And yeah, hopefully I will. Got the Horizon Complete Edition as one of them which I'm sure I'll enjoy again. Never got the DLC on PS4 though, so that's still something new to look forward to

Not going to lie, I checked your profile after reading how much you had spend, and was relieved.

Hopefully they've fixed most of the bugs Horizon had on PC. Enjoy it.

What's even the point of games when you can't even have a PC nowadays.

I was thinking of maybe buying the rest of my components right now, but there is no point. I realized that without mainboard you can't even try to preassemble components. Amazon is pretending that the mainboard is gonna be in Stock on December 29, but who's gonna believe that. And who's gonna buy it for over 50€ more than on any other online retailer.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

The only thing I don't have is my cpu. God these stock levels. Luckily my current PC is still pretty good so that should hold me over until I manage to get a 5950x.
