If true, it's becoming a trend that after playing games for almost nothing on GamePass, you later get them for free to keep on Epic.

Steam's Play Next feature is ready to drop some recommendations
https://www.pcgamer.com/steams-play-next-feature-is-ready-to-drop-some-recommendations/
Steam's latest feature will try to help you answer the eternal question: what the heck you should play next? Play Next appeared in Steam Labs back in February, but it has evolved from an experimental feature to a system every Steam user can enjoy.
Play Next, much like the regular recommendation feature, analyses your collection of games so it can make suggestions based on what you seem to like. Instead of trawling the store for recommendations, however, it plucks them from the games you already own.
>> Yeah, that's a feature that will never work with me. I don't want to play two similar games in a row, I want to change.

It's the end of an era as Microsoft stops distributing 32-bit Windows
https://www.pcgamer.com/its-the-end-of-an-era-as-microsoft-stops-distributing-32-bit-windows/
Microsoft should make a bumper stick that reads "64-bit or bust" and package it with retail boxes containing Windows 10, because the 32-bit era is coming to an end. It already has in many respects, but if there was any doubt that we're living in a 64-bit world, Microsoft is hammering the message home by ending 32-bit releases for OEMs starting this month.
As spotted by Neowin, Microsoft made the announcement in a support document outlining the minimum hardware requirements for various builds of Windows 10.
"Beginning with Windows 10, version 2004, all new Windows 10 systems will be required to use 64-bit builds and Microsoft will no longer release 32-bit builds for OEM distribution," the documents states.

The last of this week's news posts:

Play Dance Dance Revolution V on PC for free
https://www.pcgamer.com/play-dance-dance-revolution-5-on-pc-for-free/
I'll always look back fondly on the trips I made to my local cinema to play the run-down DDR arcade machine shoved awkwardly in a corner. Since then, I've been hoping that the arcade game would make its way to PC, and it finally has—sort of.
Konami has released Dance Dance Revolution V as a browser game for PC. It's in open alpha, so it's only got the basic features and 15 songs. It's free to download for a limited time, though Konami hasn't detailed when the alpha will come to an end. If you've got a USB DDR mat gathering dust somewhere in a cupboard, now is the time to go rummaging around and get it.

Fallout 76 is getting season passes, starting this summer
https://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-76-is-getting-season-passes-starting-this-summer/
Bethesda has unveiled Fallout 76's 2020 roadmap, spilling the beans about its plans for the rest of the year. There's a new storyline featuring the Brotherhood of Steel, rebalanced combat that makes it easier for players to team up at different levels, and the arrival of season passes.

You can pet the dog (and take it hunting with you) in Hunting Simulator 2
https://www.pcgamer.com/you-can-pet-the-dog-and-take-it-hunting-with-you-in-hunting-simulator-2/
Hunting games require a blend of detective work, patience, and good aim. Finding the spoor of your prey, identifying them, and getting close enough for a clean shot can take hours. And most of those hours are spent walking. There's lots and lots of walking.
Wouldn't it be nice if you could have some company on those long hikes into the wilderness? In Hunting Simulator 2, you can. You'll be able to buy dogs—a beagle, a Labrador retriever, and a pointer—and take them with you on your hunting expeditions. Have a look at those good dogs in the trailer above.

Ubisoft warns that one of its upcoming games could be delayed
https://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-warns-that-one-of-its-upcoming-games-could-be-delayed/
In February, Ubisoft said that it had five 'triple-A' games slated for release sometime during the company's 2020-21 fiscal year, which began on April 1. It recommitted to that plan in its year-end earnings report today, but warned that one of those games could slip into the following year, due primarily to the "higher level of uncertainty" caused by the need for developers to work from home as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
>> I's bet on Beyond Good and Evil 2, but only God knows when that game will launch, if it ever does.

The Grand Theft Auto 5 giveaway broke the Epic Games Store
https://www.pcgamer.com/grand-theft-auto-5-giveaway-broke-the-epic-games-store/
You might think that most people who want the seven-year-old Grand Theft Auto 5 already have it, but that's apparently not the case. It went free today on the Epic Games Store—and immediately broke it.
Update: Epic has sounded a cautious "mostly clear," but will keep its finger on the pulse in case things go sideways again.
>> Steam is no longer the only store that breaks down! . But yeah, yesterday I couldn't log in to the store.

Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey Discovery Tours are free for everyone
https://www.pcgamer.com/assassins-creed-origins-and-odyssey-discovery-tours-are-free-for-everyone/
Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey are games about killing people in ancient Egypt and Greece, respectively. But Ubisoft didn't waste those historical settings on simple mass murder: It also released "Discovery Tour" modes for each that enables players to explore and learn about them, without all the ugliness and bloodshed. After all, you're not going to learn much about Zeus' abduction of Europa while you're busy sliding a dagger between some Templar flunkie's ribs, am I right?
The Discovery Tours are included free with each of their respective games, naturally, and are also available as standalone purchases for $20 each. Right now, though, you can get both of them for free on Uplay. They're hefty downloads—the Origins Discovery Tour is 42GB, while Odyssey is 50GB—but each allows free roaming through their sprawling game worlds, solo or with the assistance of digital "tour guides." Odyssey also features extra game-like elements including unlockable avatars and mounts, and optional quizzes to test your knowledge.
>> It will only last until May 21.

Respawn is not working on a new Titanfall right now
https://www.pcgamer.com/respawn-is-not-working-on-titanfall-but-vince-zampella-hopes-to-make-that-happen-someday/
Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is celebrating its tenth anniversary of operation this month with a video and blog post looking back on a very successful decade, and ahead to even bigger things to come.

Tricky physics sim Poly Bridge 2 is releasing on May 28
https://www.pcgamer.com/tricky-physics-sim-poly-bridge-2-is-releasing-on-may-28/

Tfw stores in PC gives you better free games than you get on PS+ which you have to pay for...

(It's meant as a joke...)

I mean all you get in console stores are console games, which you can't even play on PC. So literally any free game you get on PC is better.

So I was reading into somethings with all of the new hype regarding the next gen consoles and what not. And it seems that Nvidia's 2000 series GPUs actually have all of the features that the next Xbox Series X will have with Direct X 12 Ultimate.

https://www.anandtech.com/show/15637/microsoft-intros-directx-12-ultimate-next-gen-feature-set

Including a lot of the benefits to texture streaming improvements from hard drives and ssds and etc that people are fapping about.

Of course. The PC is ahead of the technological curve... But apparently it doesn't become "noteworthy" in some circles until it's debuted in their favorite -insert product here-.
Then suddenly everyone is an expert overnight.
