It's not what he said (it's an opinion and we are entitled to have our own), but how he said it if the translation is as it happened

CLICK: So you play on PC, you’re not a console person?!
NB: I fucking hate consoles dude!

CLICK: Why?!
NB: Dude, no!

CLICK: You were going to make a Halo movie!
NB: I cannot stand consoles!

That's what I dislike. Being a graphics whore has nothing to do with it.

I still don't see how him saying that he hates consoles makes him a dick. It's not like he said "no consoles are for retards" or something. He just said that he hates them lol. I hate pumkin I think it's disgusting and I can't stand eating it, I don't think that makes me a dick. Also he speaks perfect English no need for translation.

Rise of the Triad sales pushed the remake into profitability in its first week on sale.

The news comes via Interceptor Entertainment’s marketing director, former games writer Dave Oshry.

“Interceptor set out to create a specific game for a specific audience on day one,” Oshry told Gamefront.

“We knew that if we kept costs down and delivered what we promised through the right distribution channels for that audience, we’d be successful.

Steam, GOG and Green Man Gaming have been amazing partners for Interceptor and Apogee, and we can’t thank them enough for helping us to get ROTT out there so much so that we turned a profit in week one.”

Rise of the Triad is a modern remake of the 1994 classic of the same game, which first released via shareware. Created at Apogee Software by a group of former 3D Realms staffers, it’s considered a poster boy for 1990′s shooters. The remake dropped at the end of July.

Sorry, what I ment with "translation" was putting his words into paper, transcribing it (me and my bad English...). And as I said, it's not about what he says but how he says it.

But I guess the reaction depends on the person who reads it. I don't like it and you don't see anything wrong with it.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Xbox One controller will work on the PC. Eventually

The Xbox One gamepad won’t work with your PC at launch. Despite it still connecting with a USB port, Microsoft say “new software has to be written and optimized for the PC” before the peripheral will work with our machines.

They say that it should be ready in 2014.

“New wireless protocol, combined with the ability to work in ‘wired’ mode, and the addition of features like Impulse triggers, means that new software has to be written and optimized for the PC,” Microsoft told Venturebeat.

“There is also some work that we need to do to make sure that existing PC games that support the Xbox 360 controller will work with the Xbox One controller. While it seems trivial, it’s actually quite a bit of dedicated work for all that to be seamless for the user.”

The biggest impact the Xbox 360 has had on the PC is its USB controller.

When Microsoft allowed you to plug it into your computer as easily as the console they hugely increased the number of PC gamers who now owned gamepads. Developers were free to assume players had access to a controlled. Games like Super Meat Boy and Darksiders become so much more possible when controlled with analogue thumbsticks instead of binary keys.

Bad ports gained hugely, too. We were no longer forced to work with the developer’s rudimentary understanding of keyboard mapping. You could just use what they’d set up for the 360’s controls.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare sales pass 1.2 million

Torn Banner Studios’ first-person historical combat sim Chivalry: Medieval Warfare has shifted 1.2 million copies in just nine months.

The developer announced the sales milestone today, along with a number of other factoids.

455,802 copies were sold in the US alone, with the UK in second place with 98,856, followed by Canada, Germany, Russia and Australia.

Chivalry’s peak concurrent user record is 23,233.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare has a customisation system which the developer is very proud of, although it doesn’t let you play as a woman, for deeply mysterious reasons.

Torn Banner is bringing mod tools to the game, and it has been generous with free DLC support.

I don't think it's been in any pay what you want budles no. Has been on some steep discounts but still 1.2m for an indie title with a pretty minimul marketing budget is god damn impressive no matter how you slice it. There are games from major publisher that haven't managed those numbers.

Surprised at the Australian numbers in comparison to the larger countries like the UK, France, Russia and Germany who have multiple larger populations.

The USA is selling roughly 1 copy per 693 people, Australia is selling one copy per 321 people.
Australia the biggest consumers of video games per capita, confirmed? :P
