SALES & DEALS

On the Humble Store there's a new Activision sale with Destiny 2 and Black OPS 4, up to 40% off for the next 15 days: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/promo/activision-holiday-sale/

At Fanatical there are a couple of deals to talk about:

SOFTWARE/DRIVERS

Dishonored 2, Lords of the Fallen, Bulletstorm, Moto Racer 4 and more run better without Denuvo
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/dishonored-2-lords-of-the-fallen-bulletstorm-moto-racer-4-and-more-run-better-without-denuvo/
YouTube’s ‘Overlord Gaming’ has tested some more games with and without the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Overlord Gaming used six games for which the developers have removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech themselves, and used the same graphics drivers. As such, this comparison is as good as it can possibly get, though it should be noted that some games may saw a small performance increase due to additional optimization tweaks included in their patches that removed Denuvo.

MODS/EMULATORS

Fight Night Round 4, Uncharted, MotorStorm, Dante’s Inferno and more running on the latest version of RPCS3
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/fight-night-round-4-uncharted-motorstorm-dantes-inferno-and-more-running-on-the-latest-version-of-rpcs3/
YouTube’s members ‘Andreaa’, “airGaming”, “reznoire” and “John GodGames Emus” have shared some videos showing Fight Night Round 4, Uncharted, MotorStorm, Dante’s Inferno, Sonic 4 and Resistance 2 running on the latest version of the Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3.
As we can see, Sonic 4 and Fight Night Round 4 appear to be fully playable. Dante’s Inferno also appears to be running at an acceptable framerate, though airGaming used a guide in order to pass a crash after the Reaper boss (in other words, the game is still unstable in the latest version of the emulator).
Resistance 2, Uncharted and Motorstorm run better in the latest version of RPCS3, though they aren’t still playable. These games lack a number of graphical effects and performance is not yet optimal so it will take a while until PC gamers can play these three titles on the PC.

New version of the NieR Automata 2B mod for both Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered released
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/new-version-of-the-nier-automata-2b-mod-for-both-dark-souls-and-dark-souls-remastered-released/
Modder ‘CherryDoom’ has released a brand new version of the NieR Automata 2B mod for both the original and the remastered versions of Dark Souls. In case you weren’t aware of, this mod replaces the main 3D model with 2B from NieR Automata.
The mod replaces the Wanderer Armor set, and the Thief Black Leather Set so you can get it at the start of the game by selecting the Thief class. The mod works for both male and female characters and parts are separated so they can be mixed and matched with original Dark Souls armor, though only the full outfit has been tested for collision issues.

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine 4 Fan Remake Version 3.0 available for download
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-unreal-engine-4-fan-remake-version-3-0-available-for-download/
CryZENx has released a brand new version of his amazing remake of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 4 to the public. This version comes with very few graphical settings (you can downsample from 4K or run it in performance mode) and comes with three environments.
Going into more detail, the demo features the Temple of Time, Kakariko Village and Kokiri Forest. All of them are interconnected and players can also run a “Story mode” that allows them to play all three environments. Players can also go inside houses, fight enemies, talk to NPC’s, access their inventory and do pretty much everything from the original Ocarina of Time game.

The first Beyond Skyrim dev diary shows footage from Cyrodiil, Roscrea and Atmora
https://www.pcgamer.com/first-beyond-skyrim-dev-diary-shows-footage-from-cyrodil-roscrea-and-atmora/
Of all the ambitious mods recreating areas of Tamriel, Beyond Skyrim is the one I'm most excited about. It's essentially made up of seven separate projects aimed at remaking parts of the Elder Scrolls world—including Cyrodiil and Morrowind—in the Fourth Era, when Skyrim is set. Yesterday, the developers released their first ever development diary, showing just how much progress they've made in each region, and you'll find footage from Roscrea, the lost continent of Atmora and Elsweyr.

Atlas is off to a disappointing start in Early Access
https://www.pcgamer.com/atlas-off-to-a-disappointing-start-in-early-access/
Atlas's Early Access voyage is off to a rocky start. Since it launched last week, players have been complaining about lag and server instability in the Grapeshot Games pirate MMO, and its similarity to Ark: Survival Evolved has led to accusations that it's just a reskin. Epic's Tim Sweeney reveals how the company lands exclusives for the Epic Store
https://www.pcgamer.com/epics-tim-sweeney-reveals-how-the-company-lands-exclusives-for-the-epic-store/
Epic Games chief executive Tim Sweeney has confirmed that the company secures exclusives for the Epic Games Store using a combination of "marketing commitments, development funding, or revenue guarantees".
The subject of how Epic secured exclusives, which include Supergiant's Early Access combat game Hades, has been the subject of much debate, and Sweeney's clarification is certainly interesting. It's not clear whether Epic investing in a game's development gives it any sway over the content, or whether it will simply be a silent partner, but it suggests that the company is taking a far more direct interest in the games it sells than Valve does with Steam.

It's pretty decent game, not too scary actually - of all their games, I liked Penumbra Overture the most, but this one is quite solid as well and has nice underwater setting.

Awesome deal at Fanatical: the "Very Positive"-bundle for 3,69 € ($3.99?): https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/very-positive-bundle

It includes RiME, Bastion, The Sexy Brutale and Dex.

I appreciate your words, but I've watched some gameplays of it, just in case I'd like it, and while it's not an horror game, it's based on scares. I play to have fun, and that's not fun to me.

I was close to posting it but I'm almost sure that I already posted this bundle not so long ago and, because of that, I ended up not listing it. It's the problem with Fanatical's long bundles, as some can last more than a month.
