From what I see, the most important categories have Xbox domination

While they can tout 3rd party games that are exclusive, the awards those 3rd party games win are not for Microsoft to tout as winning as it wasnt one of their design teams to accomplish that.

I don't think any game dominated this year. There was no The Last of Us or Halo 4 that took everyone's breath away. Instead, we had a TON of very good titles across the board.

Agreed. Bit surprising given new consoles shown, but maybe next year will have the jaw dropper that gets everyone talking.  Still, no problem with a bunch of good games coming out next twelve months.

While everyone's busy being console wars in here, I'll just drop in to say that it's nice to see Ace Attorney 5 (Dual Destinies) get some attention. That game looks amazing in every sense.
