Your fault. It's common sense, really. Digital games are bound to the console, so it makes sense to in turn bind the 3DS to your account first.

Yeah, so unreasonable of me to expect Nintendo will be able to register my downloaded games based on my purchase history after I linked my eshop with my Club Nintendo account.

One of the first things the 3DS does on the eshop is ask you to link your account, tells you WHY or asks you to create one, you did choose not to do it.

It is unfortunate that you missed out, but lets not claim it is their fault for not following the process, I link every nintendo system to my club account, currently have over 1100 coins and the first games I registered were to get my free zelda collectors edition for the GameCube in 2003.

you can transfer licenses on a x360. you have to redownload the games once you make the switch but you can keep everything.

sucks when that happens. nintendo needs to get it together.

This has nothing to do with transfering licenses to a different machine.

The analogy you could properly use is buying games on the 360, then after the fact wanting to transfer those games to an account that was not linked to the 360 when you bought the games.

Overall though, I have complained to Nintendo about that, I should have account level access to my purchases, and I am optimistic they will do so, when they do I will have 2 Wii U's in the house along with 3-4 3ds systems.

all im swaying it could be easier than what they make it.  they never have any good direction when it comes to this stuff. its always a mess.

It's your fault.

Downloaded games don't have the code number so the only way was to link the console before the download. It is common knowledge.

That's like flying around the world and then singing up for Airmiles and saying you want retroactive points. You sign up for programs first, that's the way it is.

lol, you should check out Australia's current deal. buy a 3DS and get a free digital copy of 1 of X amount of games (all great games). DOES NOT APPLY TO 3DSXL. WHAT THE FUCK BULLSHIT IS THIS GWAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHH. they lost my sale now, its a lose-lose situation =(

Oh right you had problems, ummmm lets see. That sucks man, to get revenge on Nintendo get rid of your 3DS and games... by giving them to me =)

Nintendo of Australia sucks donkey dick. They rarely do anything for the fans down under

I HATE nintendo's DRM policies. if you download something from eshop, you can only use it on ONE system?? at least 2 but come on, if my 3ds brakes what happens next?

Yea i heard about this. I think this is the thing that needs to be changed

I'd rather have the game tied to my account than to be tied to the console.

Did you hear that, Rol? This guy's been stalking you for 5 years just to find out where you live.

OT: Sucks that Nintendo doesn't retroactively link the game, but does it really make you so distraught that you have to rage so openly about it? :P
