Best Action/ Adventure Games - Uncharted 2
Best Fighting Games - Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Best First Person Shooting Games - I could give this one to Call of Duty 4 or World at War. Personally I preferred WAW both story wise, multiplayer wise and zombies.
Best Platforming Games - Super Mario Galaxy
Best RPG Games - Xenoblade
Best Third Person Shooters - Gears of War
Overall Best Games - Last of Us, Uncharted 2, Super Mario Galaxy, Bioshock Infinite, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Halo 4, Xenoblade

Puppeteer looks like it's about to penetrate those ranks though and Beyond seems like it could replace Heavy Rain as the most immersive story this gen (well maybe Last of Us now).  Also GTA5 could impress but there's just too many to count.
