Looks great - I hope it comes out on Steam, if I remember right, it is on Steam Greenlight ;p.

I hope it doesn't, so that the release version remains without DRM.

Eh? There are DRM and DRM Free versions of games o.O.

Do you mean that even if it releases on Steam it will have a non-Steam version as well, or that Steam is not DRM?

Another day, another indie developer using Kickstarter to make a game that publishers are way too stupid to fund. This and Shovel Knight are the only games I've ever considered backing.

Here's some gameplay from the prototype, for those interested. Looks pretty tight control-wise, but there are plenty of things to be ironed out.

Hopefully Nintendo can reach a deal. Wii U needs games and this one looks cool.

Even if it releases on Steam - a DRM Free version can still be available providing they release it for PC and not exclusively on Steam.

For an example, I have Alan Wake on Steam but I also have access to a DRM Free copy as well which I can download/have backed up on my external HDD to play without Steam or without being online.

Alright, but they make no guarantee of such a thing.

I remember seeing this a while back. It looks like it'll be fantastic. This and Chasm are two games that I really wanted to support, but I never did get around to doing so.

Looks like they did fine without me, thankfully. :D

Off topic, but I looked up Chasm and it was like

Dear indies, if I'm gonna pay you to make a game, I want YOU to make it not a computer.

Agreed. Procedural generation is a poor subsitute for great game design. Outside of certain kinds of sandbox games or interestingly complicated experiments like Dwarf Fortress, I won't bother.

I gotta say, hearing that the first time was a bit of a letdown, but it is pretty cheap, so as long as the levels don't feel overly similar to one another and the gameplay is solid, I don't really mind.

yep, backed this awhile ago,

i was actually scared and mad at the 200k goal, because no collectathon isnt a collectathon without a hub world, the hub world goal should have been the "7th bonus chapter" stretch

so im glad they made it

$20 from me. Game looks amazing.
