Apparently the PS4 comes with that crappy ear plug and the X1 doesn't comes with anything (you must yell at your Kinect)

But what is most important is that the PlayStation 4 features a standard headset jack and the Xbox One's is proprietary, that sucks MS I though you were cool now.

its like sony learned from this gen and ms decided to ignore everything. didnt an xbox 360 come with an headset? even if the sony one is mono its still good for voice chat. since bluetooth headsets are mono as well.

I've never used a headset for gaming and I doubt I ever will.

I don't remember multiple threads for when the PS3 didn't come with a headset and the Xbox 360 did. Most people buy aftermarket headsets anyways. Not a big deal.

The fact the PS3 did not come with a headset was a big area of detraction early 7th Gen. It is supposedly the reason that Live appeared to be more populated and vocal then PSN.

If most people didn't care about boxed in headsets then neither of the above would have been the case.

EDIT: The issue here is that it appears MS has been taking several steps BACK as opposed to forward. Going back to AA Batteries(at first) when the X360 Slim had rechargeable standard just like PS3, and now this.

lol the reversal.

I can still remember PS3 diehards defending that it didn't have a headset and 360 did.

Ironically 360 having one standard is why the 12 year old kids on Live were so noticeable.....where as MP games like Resistance 1 were quiet.

Besides, kinect is supposed to handle it to a degree, as it can distinguish your voice from others in the room if need be.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Still, you would think with a console that cost $500, ms wouldn't be so cheap as to not even include a headset.
