Forums - Sales - Japanese Sales: Week 25, 2013 (Jun 17 - Jun 23) [TLoU 117K]

great opening for TLoU. question, since this released one week after the western market, would these numbers be put into first week sales or second week?

Second week.

Interesting figures. Hardware down overall, but a few gains. Wii U looks to be down again as well.

What's really shocking to me is how far apart they are on the 3DS numbers. It's more than a 20% difference!

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Yeah there is quite the difference on 3DS, never seen such a gap between MC and Famitsu.

Thats brilliant for The Last of Us. Should have great legs too!

It better have, I love the multiplayer and there are some DLC maps and other sutff coming. I want a lot of people playing it with me =D

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Nice sales for Last of Us. Hopefully it will have "great legs" :)

This was indeed Sayonara for Umihara Kawase... Well at lest it never had a decent FW in first place before.
Chibi dragon does 500k on Wii! TLOU did way better than I expected.

I was hoping for a higher opening as I'm a fan of the series, but it actually looks like it did pretty well compared to previous releases.

I picked up the game myself:

and it'll go nicely in my collection:

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

Yeah. I know we've always had discrepancies between the trackers, but the 6-8k per week we're having on 3DS hardware is beginning to get noticeable. I wonder what on earth is going on?

Especially since they're mostly pretty close with all the other hardware, even with a ~1k gap on WiiU.  3DS is selling more so there's more margin for error, but still.

Great start for TLoU, but...PS3 is way down, below 10k for the first time maybe.

Vita rises for some reason, which is nice, but it's still pretty poor when you consider the price cut. Hopefully Toukiden can maintain this form.

Wii U continues to underperforman, but the only way is up...right?

It was below 10k in the Spring and Summer of 2007. There was only two releases over two months and one of them was Madden.

Might be an ok number, but it still doesnt hold a candle to Resident Evil in Japan. It will likely pull similar numbers to Revelations PS3, but nowhere near the numbers of RE5/6 on PS3 and RE:Revelations on the 3DS.

For a western IP it is an amazing achievement.    If TLoU was created instead by Sony Japan or Capcom, it would have sold 500K-1M 1st week.

Keep arguing this. It's still funny.
