What was so bad about SF x Tekken? I remember a lot of gaming sites praising it.

I think the bad things about SFIV are the art-style and that it is slow paced (very methodical).  I would have prefered an art-style like the one in Street fighter III, and gameplay similar to SFIII.   SFIII was spectacular, I remember playing it at the arcades...nice old times.

Good heavens, I've never really met anyone else who even played; let alone liked the Street Fighter EX series.

I agree, though.  I'd much rather have another title like that; although hopefully more in the vein of the first two games and less like the third, which I could never get into for some reason.

I've met people that played it. In my younger "arcade days" we played everything  SF good or bad. Amongst the SF fans I grew up with the EX series was not well liked. EX looked like SF fighter, but it didnt play like it.
