Is not over yet and I am starting to feel nostalgic. I thought about it because I am not hyped about WiiU/Ps180/PS4. Maybe has to do with the fact that the best games rarely are those released at the begining of a generation.
Ok, so I will begin:
PS3: I will start with this one because is the last one I acquired. Right now is maybe my favorite plataform. Best experience: 3D movies and in general the more accesible multimedia features. Free online gaming. Best game or franchise: Uncharted!!! But the best of all is PLAYSTATION PLUS. So much value! Now I am seriously considering getting a PS Vita, just because of PS+.
360: An awesome console too. But basically a single player experience. I like shooters, but the games that made it for me are Oblivion and Skyrim. So good on the 360! I later tried the PC version, but I couldn't get used to the mouse/keyboard layout. Gears of War and Forza are the only franchises I like on the system, but I mainly got it for the HD multiplat games. Red Dead Redemption, The Mass Effect Trilogy and XCom Enemy Unknown really hit the spot for me.
Nintendo Wii: Maybe my favorite. To play with guests, to play by yourself, to play co-op... Wii Sports and the Party games. I had so much fun having people over and fooling around with this. I totally had to buy aditional Wiimotes and it was totally worth it. Also on the single player side... Resident Evil 4, The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Guitar Hero games, Lego games...
Good times...
I know this is very subjective but that's ok. I am interested in listening other people's experience with this generation. Let's keep it positive and avoid fanboyism, please. If you only game on one plattform, well let's hear it:
What was your more pleasant gaming experience of the last seven years?
