Because its a huge show and lots of gamers will be exposed to the new software coming to the Vita. They will probably have some announcements.

Hopefully is not an indie or ps2 HD ports fest I would really like some AAA titles and a game that really pushes online multiplayer past the 4v4 were seeing in all games right now.

It also deserves some spotlight becoz it did not have anything at all in E3, do you really want to PS vita fail then? this is the great companion but it also needs to have itself some games to be unique and it has power to do some great games on the go. PS4 will have its attention in Gamescom along with PS vita, Sony highlighted it as PS vita show becoz it needs more there since Europe is the big market for PSP.

I know some of us were disappointed with the lack of focus on the Vita during the Sony presentation but that's how it had to be. They had to focus on the PS4. Even the little bit of time they spent on the Vita at E3 had people whining like disgruntled toddlers in the comments. I was thinking, "STFU, most of the show will be about the PS4," but the complaining dragged on. It's a shame that the Vita didn't get much stage time, though I can't see how they could have done anything else.

Vita fans still have TGS and Gamescom, both of which are traditionally bigger for the Vita than E3. I'm not going to complain until both those shows are over.

It damn well should be after the disaster of E3 for it. But with the PS4 launching so soon, I doubt the VITA will get a fair showing.

Yeah more ports from ports that will save the vita. Fuck yeah. No Joe beside. Gamescom is Vitas last Chance to save it for the western audience. If the fuck up this time than i smell a fast death for the vita in the west.
