Fair is fair, you still agreed.

Yeah, I agree Sony cares more about profit than consumers.

Which I'm okay with. But for some reason bothers you when MS does it.

Sony is all for the profit and that's why they're charging for online play. Ms has the nerve to charge 499 for a lower speced console... but it comes with Kinect. So that does explain the higher price.

So the Vita memory cards are a great example of how Sony puts their customers first right?

Fine, Sony wasn't right, MS turned on their word and accepted Blu Ray. MS is moving up in the world.

No loyalty free links?

Loyalty free! :)

Microsoft doesn't need Blu Ray:

Will the Durango have Blu Ray?

Five years after HD-DVD's failure Microsoft adopts Blu Ray:

180!!!

I'm talking about links to back up your comment that MS had no plans at all for HD-DVD other than a BR deterrant. You said it so factually, as if it's not opinion but something MS said themselves.

Instead you're giving me links about MS pulling a supposed 180 regarding BR support. But even in that off topic tangent, only one of those links was from MS. And it discussed the 360. If MS releases a BR drive for the 360 then you'll have a point.

Awwww shucks...I thought you were agreeing that Sony did it for themselves and their Blu Ray partners. Dagnabit! I said Sony understands consumers better than Microsoft does, which is why they won consumers over from the start. Microsoft never had that kind of luck.

I don't recall you talking about who understands customers bettter. At least not to me.

Sony wasn't winning consumers over when they released a $600 console (or with Vita). MS wasn't winning consumers over with DRM.

The difference is MS fixed a huge mistake before launching the console.

Several people in this thread didn't bother to even read the OP (as usual).

Couple points:

PS3 price was looking out for consumers because it was sold at a gigantic loss to Sony.
XBone priced at a profit, instead of at cost (according to Pachter in OP)

Understand the difference.

We seriously trusting Pachter when he says the Xbox One is priced at profit? He wouldnt know that, MS does.

i certainly am not.  pachter's cost estimates sounded off for both ps4 and xbone imo.  i'm pretty sure both are taking a small loss at their respective price points.

Pachter goes to private MS meetings at events, representing Wedbush. I think he has some clue.

Sorry, that is a link to opinions. I am not interested in what Michael Bay thinks about MS's intentions. So I am assuming it was just your usual loyalty free outlook on MS and their strategies. Thanks.
