All the time i see the dancing games getting huge stick. example

Crappy motion gaming like dance games -_-.

Now i am sorry, but dance games are fun as hell. Play with kids, play with the fam, play with drunk friends. its fantastic.

Honestly, everyone on here i would consider a "hardcore" gamer by default. Now I am not huge on motion controls, but i am a sucker for dance games. Add alcohol than it is about 1000% better.

i woukd put a lot more but people would start getting offended because everyone is all about how the feelings get hurt so.

Yes i agree (never tried the alcohol part) but dancing with friends and family is extremely fun you should give Dance central a spin if you have an opurtunity .*grabs a vodka bottle*

I don't mind dance games, though I don't necessarily seek them out myself. If a group of people are playing a dance game, I'll jump in for a song or two. If they are playing a music game like Rock Band or Guitar Hero, I'll jump in for as long as I can!

For the record, my main exposure to dance games has been DDR; I haven't had a chance to play Just Dance or Dance Central. I'd love to play Dance Central; if Harmonix makes a Dance Central game for Xbox One, I might just have to pick it up. If I had gotten a Kinect 1.0 I would have gotten DC in a heartbeat, but getting a Kinect 1.0 just for two or three games wouldn't have been worth it.

Agreed. Good for when we're about to go clubbing and having pre-drinks.

Dance games are fun, but I don't find them to be hard since I dance. It was the only reason I enjoyed the Kinect while I had it.

Created a new poll to go with this thread if you would like to vote.

I would have played it but never got the chance. I never brought the Kinect device and long stopped using my 360 by the time it came out. Looks like fun though. I played the dance games on the Wii. (just dance) played The PS3 dance with the singing in it.

I'm not a dancer so I tend to avoid them. Although when I was much younger I used to like bust A groove/bust A move.

It is fun but not enough reason to go out and buy a kinect in my opinion. In terms of party games for playstation,i played singstar and buzz, both were great especially buzz, tough its a quiz type of game,my wii was given after one month could't stand the thing...

Dance Dance Revolution was fun....And who can forget this gem..

I had a friend who was big time into DDR and those songs got insane at higher levels. I swear he was burning hundreds of calories per song at rate he would jump around. Not a casual experience from my perspective.
