Expect this from her? Seeing as how I've never met her and have only seen one movie she was in (Juno, which was overrated imo), you can't say I expect anything from her. Are you one of "those" people that think you know a person based on what you've seen in movies or television? If so, I'm ashamed of you sir. |
Well I thought different of her after seeing a lot of interviews.
And it is normal to put people from the first second you into groups of what you think of them. It's nature. Ofcourse you don't know the person. But you can have an interpretation of the character of a person. And that's where you bias yourselve on. Everybody does it. It's perfectly normal.

She's not that hot. I'd rather fap to myself, which I do anyways.

That's a great point...I totally thought Marlowe looked like Helen Mirren when I first saw her. I can see the Cutter/Statham resemblance too. Yeah, game companies have always done this...not sure why it's a big deal.

So what movies did you play in? |
Just so you know you do not need to be in movies to be an actor. There is plenty of actors everry single day trying to make it and you know very little about this as your posts clearly shows. One of the first things you learn as an actor is you are a product that you are trying to sell. This includes voice, face, and your craft. I know of one person on this site who has had great discussions with me who is typecasted because of a specific look she has. Your looks and your voice and the roles you play coincides. Coming from a person who takes acting seriously I am disapointed in the behavior of this thread. Acting is much more than moving around in front of a camera and it takes great work and passion to portray the truth while maintaining an interesting aspect. I can't express enough that it is a 24/7 job and plays a lot with your emotions so show a little respect.
@Slowmo if you read this - Currently studying the Michael Chekhov techniques. Definetely look into his techniques if you can. Psychological Gesture is a great method that has helped me a lot.

I agree
It's stated in the original topic that ellie looked even more like ellen page originally and they changed it.
It was all around the internet, and then it was announced she was going to be a videogame (beyond), and then magically ellie's design looked a bit different.
That said, idiots in the videogame community act like children and are blowing this up out of proportion. She maybe, was a bit too harsh. But, when you're famous. Not everything you say is going to be quoting ghandi.
