Forums - Nintendo - Level Creator In Super Mario Cats!? <(o_O<)

Unfortunately I couldn't find an image anywhere that shows what I'm about to talk about, so you'll have to wacth the trailer in the link below. The level shown from 1:13-1:17 is the topic of discussion.

If someone could embed that'd be awesome, as that way people could stop it when that level shows up (1:13-1:17) for easy reference. Anywho, just look at it. The level is completely different from every other level shown in the trailer. It's uber simple and looks as though it were pieced together with individual cubes. Also, note how the camera spins all around it, something that can't be done in regular levels, and how you're playing as a regular toad, as if he's the tester. Lastly, the platform in the center of the stage appears to be transparent, like it hasn't actually been placed yet. Idk, it all just screams level creator to me, which would be uber awesomes! What do you all think?

I also thought that was very strange, but i have no idea what it could. Maybe you are right. You could really create something and, who knows, share it.

It looks like a more evolved form of the Mystery Box from Super Mario 3D Land. Basically a bonus room.

Wait a second, i don`t think that`s the case.
If you look close, Toad moves like those dolls where you twist that thing in their backs and they move on their own.
Maybe this is just a challenge and you have to make him go through the level.
I just can`t explain the timer...

A bonus room that gives you the same amount of time as a regular level? Idk about that. Plus why are they playing as a regular toad? We know we play as blue toad in the main game. It could be because he's just the tester and so he has balanced stats which means he has to look different from blue toad.

If you listen to the trailer, you can hear the ticking sound typically associated with timed bonus rooms. The fact that the general timer does not pause changes nothing.

Looks like the camera is moving at fixed angles, similar to the single player right analog stick control:

My video quality sucks so bad I can hardly see him. I don't see how that would mean anything though. It's just way the moves, unless there actually is a wind-up key on his back!?

Okay I watched it full screen on me PS3 and it seems toad is wearing some kinda explorer outfit. Also, there's 6 green stars as opposed to the usual 3, so yeah, this does seem more like a minigame now. The simpler looking stage is probably because toad isn't as flexible n agile as the main characters. That would explain the otherwise pointless moving platform in the middle of the stage, which only became transparent because of the star underneath, that way you could see it. lolz, so much for that dream, and me getting this game. :L

He looks more like a miner due to the head lamp and the sack
