Not much to add, do you guys think the PS4 would be still 399 bucks if the Yen wouldn't be as weak as it is right now? Would Sony just take a loss (or a bigger loss) instead? Not that i know how the Yen will be the next months or years but well...

at least i got an answer haha
Yup. I expected a $425-$500 PS4. But the falling yen has made things way easier for Japanese exporters. The 20% drop means that Sony could easily slash $50 off the price and have the same revenue as with a $500 system one year ago.

you dont get how money rates work do you. If the yen was stronger than today, then it would mean that their inflation would be lower, which in turns means that the console would be cheaper. You have it backwards buddy. The weaker you money, the more inflation. More inflation, more ridiculous prices. The euro is strong, hence the 325 price tag.

i get how it works. sry mate...
the yen is weak right now which means a japanese company will get more for a console sold in europe or usa as it was the case one year ago. 1 euro = 129 yen. 1 dollar = 97 yen. one year ago it was maybe 1 euro = 100 yen and 1 dollar = 80 yen.
it is bad for them in japan but that market is much smaller for sony and they don't even release the ps4 in japan this year if i'm not wrong.
and no clue why you talk about a 325 price tag in the euro zone. it's 399...
The WiiU could use a price drop soon, now that the Yen's weaker.
They'll likely do it this fall.

Actually,
Even though Sony is affected by USD/YEN exchange rate, I know that they are somewhat hedging themselves against the fluctuations in USD/YEN. edit: Actually according to Kaz in the below interview, a weaker Yen is a disadvantage to Sony.
EUR/YEN is much more important for Sony.
Kaz also underlined this in an interview with CNBC at the D11 Conference, as below (around 07:55):
