Forums - Gaming - Sharing With 10 Friends Was Better Than Used Games, You Guys Complained For Nothing

Sorry man...while game is isntalled, disks have to be in the tray.

These changes will impact some of the scenarios we previously announced for Xbox One. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you will simply share the disc. Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray.

And yeah this is complete BS. People don't realize how ass backwards console gaming will be next gen cause of this. Actually hope Microsoft makes you everyone buy the Xbox and flips the switch 3 years into the console cycle.

It makes sense.

You don't want a disc? buy digital.

But I want the freedom to do what I want with the physical media I purchase.

Man that really sucks. REALLY sucks.

I just don't see why they can't give you the option. Either you can have your console like how the 360 currently is or you can have your console with the 24 hour check with family sharing plan or anything in between.

I hope games still are getting installed to the harddrive. If they take that away and make you still change discs I'll be livid.

Really? Sharing with 10 friends/family members had its restrictions, since only one other person could play a game. Let's say you bought the new Halo game and shared it with those 10 friends. All of you couldn't play it at the same time, since only one other person could play it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

That was one of my FAVORITE things about The One. And now the whole instant switching thing is going to be mostly irrelevant too!

Come on MS, at least give us options!

Not bitter but disspaointed...

Otherwise shouldn't your internet be down or something? You're posting way too much for someone that can't have a stable internet connection.

Yeah.

"Xbox Play game"...pause for 5 seconds while game loads disk to verify.

Lame.

or three people buy it. chance is very high that at least one doesn't play it (if it's not day one)

I'm sorry but for the majority of us who don't buy crappy, scratched pre-owned discs from Gamestop, this new MS policy isn't a win at all. Being able to share games with 10 friends/family members was a huge win for gamers, but IMO the people who cried about it basically screwed the rest of us over.

The only thing I wanted dropped was the 24 hour check in, but really even that wasn't so bad if it was changed to like a weekly check in.

Through my friends I could've had effective access to like 2-3x as many games, now that ain't happening.

It's tough when the thing you stood up for decides to stand down and leave you flapping in the wind, eh?

Pfffft, you can't base someone's internet connection on their posting frequency.  My Internet connection isn't always stable and I can post quite often.  I'm sure you've seen me around a lot.
