there goes the family share plan

They better keep the family plan or ill be pissed that they changed it -_-

theres no way for them to keep it since you can give the disks away

Not necessarily.  The X1 was still built to install the discs on your hard drive so if you have the option to do that you can prob still share.

Just goes to show you that Microsoft could have done this all along and it was them and only them who wanted to completely screw the consumer.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

I wonder if this will delay the console, the whole thing was built around the Cloud.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

"We're also putting this guy in charge again."

Doubtful.  Changing the software isnt a big issue.

These changes will impact some of the scenarios we previously announced for Xbox One. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you will simply share the disc. Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray.

@Bold: The family share plan is gone it seems.

I blame the trolls.  Still this is an overall good thing so im not too upset about it.  Now people can calm their shit and talk about games.

Yeah that was the only positive thing about the old policies to me.   Good news though, I will probably end up buying one now in the near future.  I personally still won't trust MS to much right now.  But at least people can now see that if we make enough noise changes can happen.  And I wonder what Cliffy B thinks about MS backpedalling on these policies that he said were necessary for the industry.
