It would be neglected on Nintendos platforms and they wouldn't know what to do with it... Sly actually has personality unlike Mario, Link, DK, Luigi, Kirby ect ect...

? Come on now you can't be that uninformed. What I mean is, you know that some Nintendo Characters actually talk. True, most don't but many do.

Why is everyone just completly ignoring Kid Icarus and Punch-Out.

Kid Icarus since just because there's personality to the character in the 3DS game, doesn't mean it's good personality.  I've never played the 3DS Kid Icarus but that video someone linked, holy hell that's annoying as crap.  It's like they were trying so hard to make jokes that just fell flat and were annoying.

*edit*

I just watched a video of chapter 1 and 2 the dialogue is bad.  Not only is it bad dialogue, but the delivery is awful.  It's not so bad it's good awful, it just sucks.

kupomogli: You should really play it, you'll be quite surprise of it. The games is really funny to and get deep in some areas to.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

I wouldn't want it to be a Nintendo IP, but I think it would be more successful on Nintendo platforms. However, that's probably not going to happen since Sly and Sucker Punch are totally first-party now.

Not that it's a bad thing, mind you. Sony could use some good first-party platformers as much as Nintendo could use some good first-party console RPGs (yes, I am using this to justify Monolith Soft being a first-party Nintendo studio).

This basically boils down to advertising. And yes, Sony dropped the ball with advertising Sly. Just like they did with Twisted Metal too; but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have sold as well on a Nintendo platform even with advertising.

At least Sony have been pushing hard with The Last of Us recently, which was reassuring to me because it least it shows me that they do still know that advertising is important (I was beginning to think they had forgotten).

Sly just came out at the wrong time.  If it had released, as they intended, in the holidays 2012; then it would've been included in the advertising push they had with LittleBigPlanet Karting & PlayStation All-Stars, which would probably have helped.

I'd hope that at least Sly & Ratchet have a future on Sony hardware. Given that Knack is a launch title for PS4, I'd say there isn't too much to worry about for the time being.

Like I said, those weren't the quotes I would have picked from the game, just what I found from a quick youtube search.  Regardless, Pit HAS a personality, it doesn't matter if you like it or not.  That was the question....  he is fiercly loyal, loses focus easily, is very headstrong but also a bit naive and has a nasty habit of breaking the fourth wall.  The fact that I can explain that proves that he does, infact, have a personality.  I may not like Drake from uncharted (GREAT games, bad character, he is a card board cut out action man, a silly caricature of Indiana Jones without any of the nuance) but he definitly has a personailty.

The failure of Twisted Metal made me sad, good game, great multiplayer.  I'm no sure if advertising was the problem though, maybe the audience for these games just isn't there right now.

Wow, I really didn't mean to double post, lol, just wasn't thinking about it,
