Forums - Nintendo - I wish Sly Cooper was a Nintendo IP

True that it would get more attention on a Nintendo console, like Max said Nintendo is not very capable of giving their characters tangible attitude, so I doubt them doing a good job with this unless they had a Sony Studio help them with it.

What about Pitt from Kid Icarus?  Or any of the characters from Star Fox?  Or everyone EXCEPT Little Mac in Punch-out (seriously, Doc Lewis is the best.)

Last star fox I played was on N64... that doesn't help your point... I wish slippy would be crossing the road on the tank missions sometimes.

Still has a strong personality, jusy an annoying one, also, Falco has ALWAYS been awesome.  A lot of Nintendo's characters are a call back to the silent protagonist archetype, such as Samus or Link (and plenty of companies still do this, look at Master Cheif), or are Mario characters...and Mario characters are pretty bland (except Wario, now that I think about it.)  In anycase, just becuase they don't do it in a lot of thier bigger games doesn't mean they can't.... like I said, Kid Icarus had more personaily and charm then pretty much any game I can think of.

very niche market that sly cooper is aimed at, yeah it would probably sell more on nintendo platforms but sony are doing a good job with it since sly 4 was very good

It would be neglected on Nintendos platforms and they wouldn't know what to do with it... Sly actually has personality unlike Mario, Link, DK, Luigi, Kirby ect ect...

Luigi, Link, Kirby and DK dont have personality? Im guessing you havent played either luigi's mansion games, any Donkey kong game, Kirby's epic yarn or Skyward sword. Just because they dont talk much doesnt mean they dont have personality.

Falco wasn't awesome he was just the most tolerabl. "Golly gee I've been saved by fox." Pippy was just as annoying as slippy and Falco slightly less so. Making annoying personalties is an easy thing to do because it hardly takes any effort. I never played kid icarus so I reserve my judgement on that

Sly 4 was very good and i think its doing for its level. I'm sure there will be another sly in PS4/Vita. I don't think nintendo should have this becoz this game mechanics doesn't similar to Nintendo games which is like children play.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Falco was sucha D-bag, but I loved it.  Not the best dialogue, and it's all between Pit and Palutena  (Pit talks with a lot of the enemies and other gods/godesses in the game) but KI is CONSTANT dialogue.

I just hope Sly sticks around and finds his way onto PS4 along with my other favorite PS characters, Ratchet and Clank.

Ive played plenty of DK games... DKC on the SNES was my favorite.... same game play as any mario 3. I played Majoras Mask, Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda, Links Awakening, and more... one game doesn't make the rule. And I doubt if I played it I would think he had personality
