As you can see here, the Xbox One currently holds the top spot, with the Ps4 sneaking in at # 3

Looks like it'll be closer than we thought? Maybe not.....

If you look closely, you'll notice a couple things. First off, the Xbox one holding the top spot is "day one edition". The Ps4 a couple spots behind is the standard edition. If you look further down on the list, there is indeed a day one Ps4 edition, but it's already sold it. Would it still be holding onto that top spot if it were not sold out???

The ps4 is split between multiple bundles and are selling out. Its expected that a product thats not sold out is abke to sell more than one that is

Yeah it is silly now, it would be nice to have 1 tho, tracking pre orders across multiple retailers.

we are still months aways from launch, sometimes ps4 will sell better and sometimes xbox one. some people will cancel their preorder for one console and preorder the other then. why don't we have only one or two threads for all of that?
