PS4 = the new PS2
PS4 = the new PS2
Stupid comparison.It's a very different scenario.
The difference between the PS4 and Vita is that the Vita was $250 when the 3DS was also $250 a year before launch. Before the Vita launched, the 3DS price reduced to $169.99, and then apparently no one cared about how good the Vita launch library was or how good the specs were. $80 cheaper was a lot of money.
The PS4 doesn't have the expense problem. The PS4 is the one that's $100 cheaper so it's Xbox One with the expense problems. The launch line up on both systems are practically the same, with Xbox One having a slightly better launch with Killer Instinct and Dead Rising 3 for differentiation.
So overall PS4 is in the light being cheaper and the Xbox One having all this controversy around it as being a bad console.
Microsoft paid to get the wrong games exclusive. Instead of Titan Fall, they should have got Call of Duty Ghosts as a timed exclusive. Maybe Activision was charging way too much even for timed exclusivity so they couldn't, but Call of Duty Ghosts is going to be on all systems. They could have got all those fans who only buy Call of Duty if they were to get this game exclusive for atleast a year, because by that time the next Call of Duty would be on its way out anyways. Maybe with a specially trained parrot instead of a dog.
PS Vita has only done so bad because the handheld market is dominated by Nintendo. The console market is a lot less one sided. Secondly, the Vita was designed for a hardcore audience, an audience that really doesn't care much for handhelds, for the the simple fact that they're mainly devoted to the console market. Also take note of how much better the PS4 is doing on preorders than the Vita. PS4 is going to do great, so stop trying to start all this gloom and doom because the XBone is looking bad.
Locked for being nonsensical flamebait.
