The difference is that every 3rd party publisher is on-board the the PS4 (not on the same as VITA).  Also, most 1st party studios from Sony are making games for it (not the same as VITA); and finally, the main competition costs more and has lots of restrictions (the 3DS costs less and has no restrictions).  So the PS4 is the console to own for most costumers.

So sooooo much different. Fifa, Madden and CoD drive millions to consoles. Add to that Sony's first party titles which has been fantastic quality wise as of late and you can see why the PS4 will not go the Vita's way. It won't destroy everything in its first year but it will definitely have better numbers than the Vita.

So what you're saying is..... the PS4 is an awesome console, got it. Also if you haven't noticed PS4 is getting praises from a lot of people and places so that is pretty inaccurate.

Ok, but here are all the differences that matter.

3rd party support: 3rd parties are 100% behind the PS4, delivery must have games like Witcher 3, FFXV, Destiny, Devision... essentially all the big 3rd party games that will be announced over the next decade.

1st party support: Sony will put all their best 1st efforts onto the ps4. A big issue with the Vita is that sony never put best teams to work on the system, at most you a team like bend...Infact the best handheld team (ready at dawn) didn't work on the vita and instead moved from the psp the ps4.

PS4 is a home console, which essentially makes the comparison redundant. Only negative thing to be said about this is that Japan don't seem to care for home consoles anymore.
