3DS should actually do pretty well in June, Nintendo said Animal Crossing accompanied a large spike (4x), and it's a five-week, not four-week month. So June should be 30, 30, 120, 50, 40 or whatever, 270k overall?

If you estimate PS3 at 90k (it was at 105k in April and moves in the same manner as X360 most times in terms of trends), and Wii at 45k (it's been running higher than Wii U), I have lifetime totals at:

DS - 53.0m+

Wii - 41.1m+

X360 - 39.0m

PS3 - 24.1m

3DS - 8.5m

Vita - 1.3m?

Wii U - 1.1m?

PS2 got to 46m, and PSP got to almost 20m (19.9m+) as far as I can tell.

Vgchartz are inaccurate this month aswell. Don't know why people follow this site if it keeps being wrong all the time.

VGC has been surprisingly accurate in the past few months on the software numbers. Hardware is another story but neither Wedbush or EEDAR are any better so VGC really isn't as bad as you might think.

Jeez, when was the last time a console hit 270k outside the holidays! Pretty good that!

Yet they won't update sales for certain games that have recent figures such as MGS4. Being more or less accurate than other people that also arn't accurate at all isn't a feat.

You people discuss the weekly hardware numbers each week only for them to be flipped on their head by being wrong and most of the discussions being for nothing.

There was a big hurrah when DS became the best selling console surpassing PS2, excpet they tweaked a few numbers and it didn't afterall.

They just make the numbers up and use NPD to reevaluate them.

March... X360 sold 261k in March 2013. Five week month though.

In a normal year, 50,000 a week (200k in a four week month, 250k in a five week month) is pretty average. "Good" is 100,000 a week for four - five weeks, and Great to Historic is 150,000 or more. You sell 400,000 consoles a month for 10 months, you're at 4m, plus another 2.5m to come for the holidays (Nov-Dec), that's essentially what X360 and Wii did in 2010. A great year is 10 months at 600,000, with 3.6m over the holidays - what Wii / PS2 / NES / DS did at their peaks.

They won't update the MGS4 numbers because although we know the total sales they don't know in which region they have it undertracked.

And we all knew the PS2 was undertracked when the DS allegedly surpassed the PS2.

Famitsu put the game at selling 904,000 copies by the end of 2011 in Japan. Yet Vgchartz still has figures of 830,000 to this point in 2013.

Even if they don't know it would still be better to update the overall number and leave the individual regions than just have plain inaccurate numbers.

You all knew the PS2 was undertracked yet this site which is supposed to have the knowledge on this stuff still left it as being inaccurate for months.

Have Vgchartz even said where they get their saless from?

Another example Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 storm was announced in May as selling 1 million copies in USA and Europe as of the end of the fiscal year (March). However Vgchartz has the game at selling 600,000 copies as of last week worldwide.

100k is quite excellent tbh no? DS and Wii really pushed the boundaries at their peak, but I'd think 70k/week is good. I think the 3DS will get pretty close to that by the time Pokemon releases. I think it will manage to shift 4 mil, 5-6 million can happen for it this year.

Declines everywhere - X360 back under 5m in 12-months, PS3 under 3m in 12-months, Wii under 2m in 12-months.
