@mensrea David was of course voiced by Nolan North! Which explains the fantastic performance

I saw that at the end! Usually I can pick up when it's nolan, but I didn't this time. He did a amazing job, I would say one of the best perfomances I've seen in video games.

I didn't notice until people started talking about it here, I had been wondering if they would slip him in there since he has been in far fewer games recently (though he did pop up in one of the backgrounds of one of their dev diaries)

It does seem like he has been doing less lately. Glad to see him back at it.

maybe i'm just over looking things but can it be the Joel is immune to the the infection as well?

remember when Joel and Tess are escorting Ellie and they have to go through the door blocked by a dead clicker and when Joel moves it spores come out...(could it be dust?)

While he was in every game, he has a good enough range that he can have a major roles in games without people realising it is him again

Nolan North is also returning to voice Deadpool in the upcoming game, right? And then there was Desmond in AC III at the end of last year.

I'm currently on my second playthrough, and one new thing that I noticed was the symbolism of the visit to the university coinciding with Ellie's seemingly changing outlook on life. There's a dialogue where Ellie asks Joel what people went to college for, and he tells her something along the lines of young people going to college to "find out what they want out of life," which she repeats to herself, and I thought that it was alluding to Ellie's shift towards finding meaning in her life beyond survival.

I completed the game, and I can say that I don't know why people never accept that actual games can be the best of all times, seriously, for me, The last of us is the best game of all times, the story, the characters, the gameplay, the visuals....... Some months ago I argued with my brother about which game would be better, Bioshock infinite, or The last of us, he told me bioshock would be better, and now, when I tell him "so, which game is better?" and he just smile and say "The last of us".
By the way, I have played Zelda: Ocarina of time and It is great, but overrated

You're by far not alone. So many are touting it to be the game of the generation :D

Game was the best game I have played. Finished and did not want this game to end. Unreal God of war 3 is epic but this game just knocks it out of the park. Had me guessing a lot with the killer AI! This game is so believable it will have you thinking about Ellie and Joe while your at work. Trying to figure out how to save the character and such. Awesome GAME!

BOLD above.  Not everyone has the same taste.  THAT is something that many people struggle with accepting.  Also, some people refuse to accept that not everyone feels the need to rank their games... They have a top games list and they love all of them equally.

That being said, The Last of Us was great, but I think there are many other games this generation that I had just as much fun with, replayed more, etc.  Again, I think the Last of Us is GREAT, but maybe you need to expand your horizons a bit to understand why others might feel other games are great too.  Besides, we have what seems to be 100 threads with people glowing about this game... what more do you want?  A monument in everyone's yard?

Oh and one more thing.  Zelda OoT was released in 1998.  Making you about 3 when it came out right?  You have to understand when that game was released it was amazing all around - it's not the same thing when you go back and play it, forgetting how innovative it was.  One day you will understand when you are trying to explain why the last of us is so great to someone 15 years from now and every game has copied it.  lol
