I know but Taiwan is cheaper than Japan... the big companies are moving to these countries and only mounting the console in Japan, US, EU, etc... I think PS3 was in the same way... components in the contries like Taiwan and just the mounting in Japan.

I think the initial batch of PS3s were. The one with the 9 blade fan. But yeah, after that is not Japan. I was just hoping for the launch bunch only. Make it more special. Too bad manufacturing in general can't work outside of china anymore...
