OP, im gonna tell you. I have thought about the same topic aswell and i have to struggle not to call them "traitors" to their consumer breatheren. I dont understand how anyone can be ok with the policies Microsoft is trying to impose. Those people defending them are not only doing a disservice to themselves but a disservice to all consumers. They should be ashamed.

Yea, he seems to be the main culprit. Microsoft should can his ass for such a piss poor job. He hasn't helped Microsoft one bit and probably lost consumers for Microsoft. He also looks like a douche.

I would say it's desperation.  They know MS isn't abadoning DRM, even though many said "it was just rumors" or "they will change it at E3."  They know MS has the higher price, now, by $100.  They know MS is going to be selling a decreased potential audience, now.  And they are seeing many people, including former 360 fans, switching sides or, with some Nintendo fans, supporting the PS4 over the One.  Of course, the worst thing they do is spread falsehoods about the PS4 to put it in a less favorable light, like Sony's DRM is exactly like MS's or Sony will definitely allow publishers to eventually ask for a 24 hr check.

As far as MS goes, they just don't care.  They, like some of the hardcore MS fans, think that the only people in an uproar are PS fanboys.  They couldn't be more wrong.  They also said it themselves, they are basically trying to sell to the ignorant people who don't know and, sadly, the MS fans who will buy anything MS. 

Don't make the mistake of assuming the hate is all from Sony fans. I chose a 360 and a Wii over the PS3 last gen, and I was seriously considering getting an X1, until their BS policies drove me away.

I am seeing some posts all over the internet about some guy who posted on 4chan claiming he is an "Xbox engineer" and that he is comparing xbox One with Steam, and people jumping on it, because everything that comes from 4chan is obviously true.

This first post pretty much sums it up. Alot of vocal haters while Xbox guys are staying mostly quiet. People might be surprised at how well X1 might end up selling.
