Regarding the thread: if the XBOX isn't underclocked (I think it was at GAF were I read it, but some user said that they were indeed having problems and the initials shipments would be less than planned but they would not be downgrading the system) it's still a powerful console compared to this gens hardware.


I expect both to be sold out at launch like virtually every major console, so to me this pre-order analysis seems pretty silly. Post-lauch sales should determine which console is in a healthier position.

if the XBOX ONE ends up being under clocked to evade a faulty launch, then it'll be a difference similar to 360 - Wii U

Very true. Although I fully expect the PS4 to outsell the XBOX at launch: available in more countries, apparently more shipments and positive feedback; this gen isn't "won" in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year (just look a the Wii vs. PS3). People are jumping into irrational conclusions and getting caught up in the hype.

too hard to judge at this point, too many demos running on high end PCs or not showing gameplay, and even in the best case scenario of actual gameplay demos on dev kits it's still highly polished vertical slices that may not be accurate to the final product. Wait until the consoles are out so we can see final code running on final hardware.

To be honest there won't be a noticeable difference between the 2 in multiplat games. Exclusives will show how good they are truly.

When I watched E3 and saw the graphics of the Xbone games vs PS4 I honestly thought it looked like the former looked to be better in some respects which surprised me considering the PS4 was supposedly the more powerful but then news came out they were running on powerful gaming Windows 7/Nvidia powered PC rigs and it all made sense.
