Forums - Nintendo - Which demographic are Nintendo games aimed at?

Nintendo consoles are for everyone, a family entertainment company

I think TLoZ have become easier. Id say they target the whole family, they have made things like Eternal Darknes and Xenoblade but they focus too much on games that can also be played by kids which is something that have kept me away from Wii consoles

Their first original home console was the "Famicom" AKA "Family" Computer, so I'm guessing all ages.

E for everyone.

For girls, boys, teenagers, parents, families, the elderly and non-gamers.

Everyone that can play games, NIntendo has something for them.

Ages 3 - 75

I think their angle has always been a family friendly console that parents would buy for their kids without fear it would corrupt their souls.

Zelda is way too hard for some kids, so it must be aimed at adults.

"must be"? While some Zelda games have been a little darker I don't think any Zelda games have been too hard for an apt 10 year old to play. Kids will break though many difficulty barriers to finish a game they really like through their sheer persistency.

Children mainly.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I think you guys miss-understood the question. Who does Nintendo "Aim" their games at. They are seriously marketing their games towards the core, male, 20 year old gamer?

From their track record, I'd say people who want to have fun, their games are in majority aimed at that and they are generally really good at that.

It depends on the game really. Zelda is aimed at absolutely everyone, but mostly kids, teens, boys, girls. As are most of their games: pikmin, Luigi's mansion, Super Mario 3DW.

It clearly is not aiming the PS360 crowd, which are a lost cause to them. People who are too cool to play their games are not interesting to them.

WIth games like X, they are targetting an older male crowd in general, but some teen and older gils will still play it, many like RPGs.

With the Wii series and the likes, they are targetting people of all genders and ages, but not targetting gamers or the 360 crowd (again I don't think they give a rats ass about them).
