EDIT: Also, when I have called stores looking for one, they give me that frustrated chuckle of a reply that suggests that I would be insane to imagine that they might actually have one in stock.

it's the same thing last year around this time when i had trouble securing a DS before valentine's day. especially online.

there are more of them in physical retailers. still harder to find them than they should be. actually, i think the PSP was also pretty hard to find this time last year.

Same problem in the UK which is why Cex is selling pre-owned ones for £145.
Amazon UK did have some black/white/pink earlier in the week but they have all gone.
They do still have the DS lite starter pack with brain training.

I can buy them for 145€-150€ a piece and ship them for you if you pay shipping +orginal price :p How many do you need ? :p

I've never been to a toystore or electronics store with no DS' in stock, in fact; there are also many of them. They don't sit there very long, but the stores here get a lot of them shipped all the time it seems!

I went into HMV today and the DSs were sold out. They had Wiis though.

i didnt know the ds was selling out. must be a supply issue im guessing.
