Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: If devs are worried about used game sales, they should make better games.

Although its true, they have to also understand that everybody has different taste. Because we've clearly seen alot of used games that are also amazing great games like Halo, Mario, Uncharted etc...

As well there are some people that just buy to play then resell it regardless of how good it is cause that's just how it is.

Just because sells, that doesn't mean it's good. I am not a fan of Minecraft, Call of Duty and a lot of series like that. I am  on the fence about Pokemon though.

Preach it Reggie!

I am not shoving my opinions down anyone's throat, so why expressing myself is a bad thing?

Welcome to the internet.

Nintendo and PC gamer

I've been saying the exact same thing. Make good games that people want to keep. Don't make a 5 hour game with eye melting visuals but boring gameplay. People are obviously going to trade that in because it has no long lasting value. The market is oversaturated with the same types of games and innovation seems to come only from indie developers.

Used games seem like a good excuse to lock people in with crappy games. Can you imagine if there was no trade in for a game like Aliens CM? I think if the industry managed to stop used games, we would see a lot more of those bait and switch tactics to promise many things but ultimately deliver nothing close to that. And the worst part is, you won't be able to do anything once you have bought. Developers would be able to get away with showing you cherry picked footage in trailers and then sell you junk.

Nintendo's way when it comes to software is the right way. There is a reason why their software has been selling millions upon millions for decades. And it's not used games sales blocking.

Eh. I posted a thread in IGN and I only got positive reactions. Not bragging. Just saying. The Internet should not be known as being a place where you get negative reactions for expressing yourself. But I am getting off track so I should stop before  someone else reminds me that. :p

Heard this when Jeff interviewed Reggie on gametrailers, I couldn't have said it better myself...

And then they wonder why they get no third party support
