Honestly if you're going to respond don't be so god dam ignorant. There two things i do not like about playstation, one its controller and two it's ignorant, arrogant, hypocritical community. It's just my opinion on the ps4.

last generation Sony was adapting new and different technology into gaming such a blu-ray and the cell, this gen nothing. At least Ms is trying to do something new with the cloud, their policies may suck but at least their doing something new this gen unlike sony who just upgraded hardware. yawn.

First off there's an equal amount of ignorance, arrogance and hypocrisy in the Xbox community as the playstation community.

Secondly it was a joke, i did not seriously think that you though those were the criteria for what makes next gen console.

And lastly, upgrades in computing power have been the primary measure for what makes a next gen console since the industry began untill now, so i think that labeling the console as 3.5 is just silly.

Also don;t forget that Sony own's Gaikai, so i would be surprised to see them not involved in using cloud functionality.

This year mayyyybe, farther into the future really really likely.

I have a WiiU, I love it and I'm sure I'll keep on loving it for the Nintendo games but right now they are blewing it with the software lineup. That drought of game is embarassing and if it stays that way in 2014 that will deffinetly speed up my PS4 purchase. If they manage to give me software at a regular pace I'll wait for a price drop or interesting bundle.

i like to wait until the first price cut or a new model comes out. That's what i did with PS3 (i bought the slim two months after it came out in 2009), although i didn't get into gaming until 2008 with the PSP and later PS2. Also, i just got a Vita which should keep me occupied for a while, and PS3 is still churning out decent games for the next year or 2. But i'm also interested in getting 3DS before the PS4 as well.

i really recommend 3ds.... so much great games :)

Seriously though, it's for my son, and they have it so easy compared to my day. I wanted a spectrum 48k+ for xmas one year... didn't get one, got a board game instead (my parents didnt have lots of money)... The Crash christmas edition magazine i got that year was read alot - it kept me going until i saved up some paper round money.

/me needs to go cry in a dark corner now i have revealed my sad story.
