Sony have Mark Cerny... this guy is one of the best hardware engineer out here.

On what other hardware did he worked on?

The PS4 is so small and sexy!

Leave it to Sony, a hardware company, to come up with great looking hardware :D

Ign already said the ps4 is small like the first ps3 slim. But hell.... seeing it on this picture makes me not believe it. What other stuff is in the xbox one that makes it this bigger?

It is because of the CPU, it needs the size to avoid overheating.  the fan above it is huge.

i think xbox 360 is the sexiest :P

xbone looked bit at the reveal but if this is true then not really.

...how the fuck is the ps4 so damn small? that's crazy for a launch size!?!?

That's the best picture I found in the web comparing the size of the two new next-gen consoles.

What do you think?

I have another pic:  Check only the last part :)   They are measuring the height based on the biggest meassure.

When I saw Sony released the spec sheet, I actually got my tape measure out and went over to my PS3 Slim. I couldn't believe how comparable the PS4 was in size. It's really incredible that the engineers at Sony were able to get all that power into that form factor with an internal power supply at a $399 price point.

Bravo to Mark Cerny and his team, as well as the system designer (forget his name at the moment).

I don't know but the somebody in 2010 called him that ""Mark Cerny is the closest we have come to a modern-day Da Vinci," said Joseph Olin, president of the AIAS."

He is a legend in game industry since 1982.

I see.. AIAS is about software.. not hardware.. Cerny is great with software but I believe that this is his first hardware product..

What I read he was always involved with hardware too... even did some lectures about how to make small moterboards.
