Wow the PS4 is tiny compared to the One.

That is a good size, if Xbox One is almost the same size as 360 but longer then PS4 is quite a bit smaller. I wonder how PS4 compares to PS3 slim, apparently it's 500 grams lighter than PS3 slim

PS4 might actually be less power demanding, as GDDR5 uses alot less energy than DDR3, even tho its twice as fast, weather that offsets the extra GPU speed of the PS4 i dont know.

That's small (ps4) for what's supposed to be running inside. You'd think they made sure there will be no overheating issues.

Xbone: 7216 cm^3 (So close to being 720...times 10)

PS4: 4445 cm^3 (look at all those 4s!)

PS3 phat: 9236 cm^3 (phat by name, phat by nature)

Xbox 360 phat:  6616 cm^3 (ooooh 3 6s the number of the Beast)

Volume-wise Xbone is 62% larger than PS4. PS4 is less than half the size of PS3 phat.

Xbone is 9% larger than Xbox360.

So for Xbox fans you are more than likely to be able to fit your Xbone into the same space as your original 360.

Didn't someone on the IGN video say GDDR5 RAM uses less power and thus generates less heat?

Also, because Xbone is bascially going to be multi-tasking at all times it'll be doing more work on average and thus be pumping out more heat?

Maybe the Xbone has an internal power transformer, while Ps4 uses an external one.

thats correct.

the one i just posted was calculated by using a pic where the usb slot was visible and extrapolating. 

Either way the OP pic is dubious at best. 

The important measurement of the shelf space taken up is 8% different.

Volume will be much more due to height but does that really matter?

Height could most definitely matters. Depending on the shelf space in a persons entertainment center setup it could make all the difference.

Now, it won't have an issue with mine, but of course I don't speak for everyone else. I know my parent's setup has shelf space just big enough to fit the cable box. No way possible would they be able to fit the XBone in there.
