So they did away with the live action turn based thing and went full action game?

Either way, the game looks fantastic!

I really hope this isn't the future of Final Fantasy. It probably won't be either. We all know this game started development as vXIII the spinoff.

I'm really quite glad that they did away with FFXIII's battle system. It wasn't terrible by any means but I much prefer straight up action or traditional turn-based gameplay to that.

It looks FUCKING AMAZING. I loved FFXIII but I think this will be miles ahead in terms of quality.

Anyway, as much as I am excited for this game, I don't want Square Enix to abandon the turn-based combat forever... but I don't want them to stick to it forever. Therefore, I want them to pull a FFIX every now and then and release a mainline FF that is more retro than rule-bending.

Nah. It reflects history, shows how I've been faithful to this game all along. Not like kids these days who just realized how awesome "XV " is.
