No, I don't want my least favorite manufacturer to exit the industry. My least favorite manufacturer is still one of my favorites and this gen it might become my favorite of all manufacturers.

Sony is my least favorite right now, but I still enjoy their games very very much.

For me least favorite doesn't necessarily mean disliked or hated. Just plain and simple it's the system I played less this gen, though I have been playing a lot of Wii U and Ps3 that last few months. And I just bought a ps3 slim two days ago.

My least favorite manufacturer is Sony, but I don't want them out of the industry.

Ok this answer is better than mine :p

Obviously not. And anyone who wants less competition is just lining up for a shafting in the future. Xb1 is a horror story, and if/when it does backfire due to its new integrations, the other manufacturers will learn from it, without paying a heavy price. Xbox innovated(sorta) by introducing online, albeit Dreamcast did it, the Xbox popularized it and pushed the ps2 to have online too, so you could argue that it had an effect on this generation, and creating the field of competitive multiplayer today. Just like that am sure Sony are responsible for many other shit that I can't really recall atm, same goes for Nintendo. If either of the businesses go bust, for example Sony ceases to exist, that would mean that there won't be much choice in terms of console and people will have to endure the unnecessary DRM bullshit and what can only be described as subtle living room espionage.
People need to look at a bigger picture rather than wish monopoly upon their preferred manufacturer, allowing them to shaft you knowing full well that they dont have any other competition on the market, if you are looking for a console/media box.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Pfft, of course it is.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Hmm I voted for "because I hate them" I do think overall MS is a horrible company in general, and are trying to do bad things in the business in regards to how it affects gaming. In that same regard I have mixed feelings about Activision and EA as well. However, I think MS doing some 3rd party games would be better, than failing all together.

I just hope another console comes along to stimulate the competition that would be left by any one the major 3 failing.

Also I thought the PC popularized online gaming... (I guess arguably MS could be responsible for that as well...)

MS needs to go away because they're out of touch with the market and they will never get the true love from the masses. Their fans will always be a suffering minority and punched at.

MS needs to be replaced with a stronger player that is able to take on Sony for real.

M$ is the "stronger player." They're literally the only ones who've been able to compete with Sony.

OT: I voted "Couldn't care less." If my least favorite manufacturer gets knocked out of the industry, I won't shed any tears. The chances are they'd deserve it, but that doesn't mean I want them gone.

Why not let the actual market decide if they want Microsoft to exist? Minority or not, it's a stretch to say their fans are suffering if they decided to purchase their product. If a sufficient amount of consumers are happy with Microsoft's offerings and Microsoft is making money, then why would you want to end this?

I simply feel bad for the Xbox fans. As a former fan I know how difficult their situation is. So it's better that they come out of their suffering and switch to a stronger player.

I still have a problem with the over-enthusiasm and over-confidence of Sony fans (even though I like the Playstation myself) and that's why I need a stronger opponent (than MS) to humble them.

nah, where are the others like apple, google, samsung, steambox lets flame these wars, who has the balls, come at us bro
