I had a massive lead in one of the races and got hit by 5 red shells in a row. The second place got two triple reds in a row...

It seems like fire hoppers can't really use the exploit in DK Jungle. The 3 Japanese schoolgirls (lol) were hopping like crazy on Royal Raceway and I had no chance at all (no item racing).
