I think (still haven't fully tested him out yet) I may have found my true character for online battles! And it's not Link! I'll test him out later today!

Release dates for the Wii U version have been announced! Along with the first amiibo lineup, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be released on November 21st in the Americas. In Europe, amiibo will be released on November 28th, while Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will launch on December 5th. In Oceania, amiibo will be released on November 29th, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will launch on December 6th. For more details, check out the official website at www.smashbros.com.

"For the first time ever in the Super Smash Bros. series, you can play with a collection of real-life trophies in the form of amiibo. Simply touch them on this part of the GamePad. This particular screen is dedicated to activating amiibo, but you can also tap your amiibo on the GamePad at the character-selection screen to let that character join the battle. "

Question: Do the amiibos ONLY save the custom character information for one character (IE: get link, it only transports your Link customs), or does it transfer over ALL your data? if it's all your data, this thing is awesome and a great collectors item, if not, then it's kind of restrictive. I'm not paying 13 dollars per character when I usually play random character, or at least alternate between a cast of about a dozen regulars and about another two dozen semi-regulars (the rest being ones I'm not familiar with).

I think it only saves just that specific character info, but it does have cross game functionality. Just for example if u get the link amiibo I would assume that the new Zelda game will have some use for it and he is also coming to mk8 via dlc as well as support for amiibo. Im not sure about Hyrule warriors but assuming it work out as planned, the amiibos might come in handy and offer extra value.

Damn, I don't think my 3ds is gonna last much longer. My circle pad keeps getting stuck to the right when I play -_- I've inadvertently walked off the stage several times Lol

Well gonna have to send my 3ds in for repair :(. Called Nintendo today. But the guy I spoke with was awesome. He set up a repair at no charge and I think its normally 125 bucks. I was glad to speak with someone who plays the game and knew what I was talking about. I'll have to be without my 3ds for a while but its all good. Thanks Nick, best customer service I ever had :)
