I have no doubt it'll change more than once, Sakurai knows he has to do more than one shift otherwise it'd just be bland. Castle Siege had three different areas, and Mushroomy Kingdom was an ongoing stage. it'll be more than one shift.

The latest date we got for the Wii U version was Winter 2014 (the general concessus is that it means December 2014).

That means that I'll probably pick it up after Christmas.  Still debating whether or not to get the 3DS version as well.

I told my husband I ws going to buy both version and to this day he looks at me different because he can't figure out why I'll be buying "the same game" twice.

It's not really the same game. Sakurai said there will be things that separate the two, Smash Run is a great example of this. And I would bet money that the Wii U version will have a special mode or two that's just for it.

The other thing is, who doesn't want to lay Smash Bros. on the go? You can play it at your house on the Wii U, realize it's time to go somewhere with your friends, then grab your 3DS and start playing again! Win....win!
