Great Brawls Riot, Amir, and Tao.
That last match was excellent though. My Diddy Kong treated Riot's poor Marth like a ping-pong ball.
Still Riot, you gotta cut out the Down+B spamming with your Metaknight. I'm glad we got disconnected during that sudden death match earlier. Seeing your repeatedly spam Down+B rather than come fight me was disgraceful; doubly so considering I was only using Peach.
I like the down b and I will use it. I don't like brawls. The whole point for me to play in them now is the practice the down b. I will master this move if it's last thing I do no matter what.

On the subject of Meta Knights Dimensional Cape.
"A) This can be activated and stopped almost anywhere at almost any time. It is very circumstantial which makes it much more difficult to monitor.
B) This technique grants outright invincibility, and cannot be counter picked by any non-banned stage, or more importantly, any character in the roster.
C) This technique grants invisibility and invincibility, while allowing you to move almost anywhere, relatively quickly, being extremely potent for stalling.
D) This technique is subjective in it's use by the sheer nature of activating a move that enables literal invincibility while you move, for an extended period of time."
Everything currently points to the technique itself being banned. Believe me when I say this, if for some reason the technique itself isn't banned then Meta Knight will be. According to tests thus far (and with the 30 minutes of having my nephews GC controller I succeeded in making it last 5 minutes as well as winning a match untouched by using it offensively against a lvl 9 Meta Knight CPU.) this technique will completely morph the meta game into Meta Knight Vs. Meta Knight only with the winner being the one to get first blood. The ONLY counter to this is "I hope he screws up". Techniques like this that have no legal counter and are completely reliant on the opponent screwing up have been banned in the past.
If its allowed, it WILL screw the games balance and it WILL destroy its current competitive nature. It can not viably be monitored without making judgment calls which are avoided at all cost. We can't rely on the honor system either, people will use it for the reasons its broken if its permitted.
As it stands the situation appears to be this. Down-B extended will be banned, or Meta Knight will be. More then likely, banning the technique alone will be chosen.
There is currently NO good argument for this not being banned. So far the only people for it being legal are Meta Knight mains, and even Meta Knight mains that run tournaments believe this needs banned.
In Melee, Wobbling was banned because it was blatantly obvious it was broken. It was easy to do, and had no counter. If you were grabbed by the Ice Climbers and Wobbling was legal, you died.

then I'm done with brawl. I'll pick up a different fighting game then. I'm come close to selling my copy of brawl multiple times, but this will be the last straw.

@ ivo what wobbing? and could they just rested it like you can only do it so many times in a row and not for x sec long?
I wish they would do this to other changeable things like lazer lock and first jab lock etc... But this means every one who is playing online torumens would have to record there marches to prove or disprove. For non online your just going to have to have a juges watch each fight to make sure no one is preforming an illiage action. Well this is all just a though.
i thought ssbb was more balanced but it seemes to be the most unbalanced of all. =(
3DS FC: 4355-9313-6815
It seemed most balanced at first but these things seem to be unintended things i hope.
Wobbling at the 2 minute mark. Its inescapable.
You can't moniter it without timing it. Since no TO is going to get staff to stalk every Meta Knight player with a stop watch, its easier to ban the technique all together.
Riot, far more people would quit smash if this was allowed or if Meta Knight himself was banned. Quitting due to a banned technique is simply silly. To be honest, if this was allowed I'd stop attending tournaments again just like I did with melee. It wouldn't be fun to sit there and watch Meta Knight Vs. Meta Knight when the match consists of 1 hit then a Meta Knight sitting there alone for 7 minutes.
Banning a character is always a last resort. If Sonic could activate Super Sonic at any time, the technique would be banned. Not Sonic. Any broken technique that would destroy the meta game needs banned. This is exactly that. Its being tested, but unless a counter is found its getting banned. Nothing is known to work against invincibility, so finding one seems unlikely.
The game at its core is more balanced then melee. Its people finding things like Wave Dashing, and things like this that unbalance the game.

Brawl is one of the most broken fighting games ever made. You can't even combo, and characters like metaknight are allowed into competitive play. Mastering techs and comboing is my favorite thing about fighting games. I love trying to practice a certain chain of attacks to the point where if I catch you you are done. That's the entire fun of fighting games for me, and brawl doesn't let you even try to do it. It's all gay camping if you wanna win.
